Background:

Jake's hair wasn't always as glorious as it is today. He spent the first few years of his life completely bald. His parents, a pair of prominent mad scientists, wanted to help their son grow hair. They created a machine that they believed would cure Jake's baldness. Jake's parents placed the device on his head and turned it on, hopeful for positive results. Hair began to shoot out from Jake's once bald head. Jake's parents quickly removed the device, but it was too late. Jake's hair would not stop growing. It grew and grew until, much like Cousin It, he was no longer visible beneath his glorious hair.

Jake's parents did everything they could to help their son escape from his newly grown hair. They destroyed every pair of scissors and dulled every knife in the house trying to cut some of it off, but to no avail. Jake's hair was indestructible.

Jake spent the next few years learning how to control and manipulate his hair. Eventually, his hair became an extension of his body, and he became the first person in the world to master the deadly martial art of hair-fu.
