--It is morning, and the ship will soon be sailing into port on Caldor 
  Isle...--

* Galen is up on the deck, in a deep meditation.
* Marcus is leaning on the rail at the front of the ship, staring out at the 
  sea.
* Selene, after freshening herself up below decks, walks out on the deck and 
  stretches...
* Chrissy is still on her bunk, snoring loudly.  Obviously this is a great 
  opportunity to sleep in!
Selene: "It certainly is going to be a beautiful day, today..."
* Varemi has been laying rather plainly for quite a long time.
* Kodah is sitting atop the bridge, staring out to sea for who-knows-what.
* Galen doesn't hear Selene.
* Selene moves over to the edge of the deck and begins singing softly...
* Jan sits on the railing by the bow.
* Samantha is also sleeping in nice and late." ^^
* Chrissy snorts once or twice, blinking groggily.  "Mmmhuh?"
Captain: "All hands on deck!  Prepare for docking!"
* Chrissy sits up, rubbing her eyes. "Whew, first time oversleeping doesn't get 
  me fired... haha..."
* Galen is too deep in his sorcerer's meditative trance to even hear the 
  captain.
* Chrissy gets off the bunk and grabs her stuff, trying to look halfway decent. 
  "Might as well enjoy it while it lasts... ahh... I'ma comin'..."
* Jan thinks getting off the railing before the docking is probably a good 
  thing if he doesn't want to be thrown off when the ship comes to a halt.
* Marcus walks over the Galen and punches him in the arm.
* Kodah hops down from the bridge to get ready for disembarking.
* Jan slides back on deck, but stays near the bow to watch the arrival.
* Yuuwaku stands from where he was kneeling and staring at the sea, he walks 
  off with his pack (and the bush, I'd assume?)."

--Several deckhands on the ship are preparing the ropes and anchors as the ship 
  starts to pull into port.  Just past the port, you can see a group of 
  archaeologists working...--

* Galen comes out of his meditation, and sends a fireball at Marcus.
* Marcus sidesteps.
* Chrissy comes on deck after a few moments, messing around with her hairdo. 
  "Morning..."
Selene: "Break it up, you two!"
* Kodah nods remotely to Chrissy in passing.
* Samantha awakens to a bright, sunny new day by falling out of bed!
Samantha: "Garghh!"
* Chrissy wakes up as a fireball whizzes past her.  "Woah, where's the fire?!"
Galen: "I was so close too... the information I needed for that spell was 
  within my grasp."
* Selene sweatdrops...
* Kodah jabs a thumb in Galen's direction.
* Yuuwaku stands by on a random end of the ship, watching the fighting with a 
  bit of confusion.

--In a little while, the ship drops anchor at the port...--

* Samantha sighs, and pulls on some clean clothes before heading up to the 
  deck.
Chrissy: "That guy's way to serious."
* Chrissy nods to Kodah.
Captain: "All ashore that's going ashore!  Deckhands, don't forget to unload 
  the cargo bound for Neo Burg!"
* Varemi bothers to open her eyes and get upright...
Galen: "This should be interesting."
Galen: "Hey, Captain."

--A short distance from the port, archaeologists are still working.--

Captain: "Yes, sir?"
* Kodah stands near the exit gangplank.
* Samantha sighs, trying to wake up, "... Coffee... need coffee..."
* Varemi also bothers to leave... and she eventually joins with the group.

--There is apparently a little chuckwagon near the archaeological site.--

* Galen hands the captain a letter.  "Make sure this is handed to Magic Guild 
  master, Katarina Ausa, in Vane, okay?"
Captain: "Don't sorry, sir.  I'll make sure it is delivered."
* Yuuwaku trots after the group quietly.
Samantha: "... Galen, what are you doing?"
Galen: "Thanks."
* Kodah departs once he's satisfied that everyone is off the ship.
Captain: "You're welcome."
Galen: "Just making sure that I'm not going to get a death sentence when I get 
  back to Vane."
* Chrissy steps off the boat onto Caldor Isle.  She stretches and takes a deep 
  breath.
Samantha: "... So that the Church can trace your letter back here?"
Samantha: "And kill you that way?"
Galen: "I didn't say where I was, so don't worry about it."
Selene: "I wonder what those guys are digging up over there?"
* Jan heads off the ship.
* Kodah hrmphs and disembarks.
* Marcus walks off the ship and up to Chrissy, "I never expected to be here. 
  Why did we get ourselves in this mess?"
Galen: "But if the guild doesn't know that I've had to train myself in Terran 
  sorcery, I'm as good as dead from a guild tribunal."
Samantha: "...Of course. You just sent a letter to be delivered to a guy we
  barely know." ^^
* Varemi folds her arms...  She bows down her head a bit and her long purple 
  hair flows artfully over her shoulders.  Weird looking girl...
Chrissy: "Mmm.. the air's so clean out here. ^_^ Huh... oh... well that's a 
  good question..."
Yuuwaku: "I was hoping there would not be so many people here..."
Chrissy: "But we're here aren't we?"
* Kodah takes a moment to take the situation and surroundings in.
Galen: "Yep... that we are, Chrissy."
* Chrissy looks about, noting the dig.
Marcus: "I might as well take this opportunity to study some of the animals on 
  Lunar."
Chrissy: "Hey cool.  Wonder what's up over there..."
* Galen jumps over the rail of the ship, and uses what he knows of the spell he 
  was trying to master to float down to the ground.
Galen: "No idea...  Let's find out."
* Heimgal looks busy tinkering with dirt and digging.
* Chrissy starts walking over to the archeological site, not able to help
  herself.
* Jan looks at Marcus oddly.
* Yuuwaku frowns.
Heimgal: "Ooh, what an unusual specimen!" O_O
Jan: "Why would you want to do that?"
* Samantha follows Chrissy.

--There appears to be the ruins of several ancient buildings, or at least their 
  stone foundations, here.--

Yuuwaku: "Weren't we supposed to keep ourselves... inconspicuous?" -_-;
Heimgal: "I must examine this more closely!"
Chrissy: "I hear a fellow scientist at work... haha." ^^
Heimgal: "Aaaah yeeess.... *noddles* yeeesss..."
Marcus: "Because that's what I do.  I film and study animals, mainly mammals, 
  in the wild."
Heimgal: "This is astounding!"
Galen: "This guy's a few sandwiches short of a picnic."
* Heimgal takes a pocket microscope and examines the artifact.
Selene: "I wonder what he's so excited about?"
* Jan nods.  "Ah.  I see."
Chrissy: "Hey... you over there... what are you gaffing about anyway?"
* Heimgal notices the people noticing him but ignores them.
Varemi: o O ( ... a picnic? O_o; )
* Heimgal continues to work.
* Kodah takes marginal interest in the archeology.
Heimgal: "Yes yes..."
Heimgal: "It makes sense!"
* Yuuwaku continues to hang back slightly.
* Chrissy pokes Heimgal.
Galen: "Hmm... according to what I've read... we're standing where the ancient 
  town of Saith once stood..."
Samantha: "... Chrissy!"
Heimgal: "QUIET!!!!"
* Samantha sweatdrops.
* Marcus looks at Heimgal, "Okay."
* Chrissy sweatdrops. "Eesh... now I know how I'm like when I'm into 
  something." ^^;
Marcus: "I'm going to go over by the snack cart."

--The archaeologist looks like a young, pointy-eared beast person.--

* Marcus walks over to the snack cart AKA chuckwagon.

--He looks rather handsome and distinguished, with a slight twinkle in his right 
  eye.--

* Galen pulls a book out of his pack.  "Let's see... this city was the starting 
  point for the real adventure of Dragonmaster Alex I."
Heimgal: "Can't you people see I'm trying to work!"
Varemi: "..."
Heimgal: "I've just discovered this plate from the ancient city of Saith!"
* Jan sighs and looks away, mostly ignoring the guy.
Heimgal: "I'm SO CLOSE to discovering its secrets!"
Chrissy: "Of course I can see... I'm asking you what you're... oh."
Jan: . o O (Just what are we going to do here anyway?)
Galen: "And... according to an obscure legend... the home of another 
  Dragonmaster..."
Chrissy: "Saith?"
Kodah: "..."
Heimgal: "I'm an archeologist and I'm working."
Samantha: "Galen... what the heck are you talking about?" O_o
Heimgal: "Wait!!!"
* Yuuwaku looks between Jan, Kodah and Varemi.
Heimgal: "Wait!"
* Heimgal examines.
Heimgal: "It seems..."
Galen: "But then again... you know how these legends get started...  Oh well."
Varemi: "... Heh.  An archeologist..." *slightly odd expression on her face*
* Chrissy wonders what's so exciting about this plate anyway.
Heimgal: "Yes... these people worshiped a Goddess... this could be the 
  legendary Althena who roamed the land as human many many many years ago.
* Galen walks over behind Heimgal and examines the plate.
* Yuuwaku blinks at the name Althena.
* Kodah begins to take more interest.
Galen: "Mind if I take a look, sir?"
Heimgal: "Yes, this is mine!  I found it and I'm keeping it!"
* Heimgal hugs the plate.
Chrissy: "Althena, you say?  Mmm...  I could have sworn I heard about her 
  before..."
Heimgal: "Get your own."
* Varemi wishes there was somewhere to sit and leave this to the "experts..."
Kodah: . o O (Goddess Althena?  Who is that?)
Galen: "I always was interested in history."
* Yuuwaku walks over to Heimgal and bows to him.
Yuuwaku: "Sumimasen."
Heimgal: "Hello."
Galen: "Look, I'm not wanting to steal it, pal."
Heimgal: "Wait!"
Chrissy: "But a goddess walking around would be really wild if it was true."
Samantha: "I've never heard of an Althena?  Are you sure you don't mean 
  Lucia?"
Heimgal: "I have just discovered something else!"
Yuuwaku: "I am sorry to disturb your work, but you mentioned the goddess 
  Althena?"
* Marcus looks around the group and picks up a rather dirty disk-like object, 
  "Hey, isn't this another plate?"
Chrissy: "I mean... someone other Lucia, of course..." *shrug*
* Jan seems even less interested in this goddess talk than he did about the dig 
  itself.
Heimgal: "According to my research... this was a sister city to Burg, a small 
  town that was located right here on Caldor Isle."
Heimgal: "It was a thriving seaport... and..."
Galen: "Well, any goddess other than Lucia would be preferable to have walking 
  around right now."
Varemi: ". . ."
Galen: "Burg, eh?"
Heimgal: "Wait... wait!"
Yuuwaku: "..."
Heimgal: "It also says that this was also near the legendary White Dragon 
  Cave."
* Galen eyes Heimgal.
* Varemi looks a little disgruntled at her feet, having the misfortune of 
  picking up some of the conversation. =b
* Yuuwaku edges towards Jan.
Yuuwaku: "Jan?"
* Kodah now takes a keener interest, "White Dragon you say?"
Galen: "Did you say the White Dragon's Cave?"
Heimgal: "Which used to be a diamond mine during the long forgotten Nephar 
  War."
Chrissy: "Hah... weren't we going to visit that place while we were here, 
  guys?"
Jan: "Yes?"
Samantha: "The White Dragon..."
* Kodah begins to pace while he thinks.
Galen: "How come we never heard of such a mine?  I thought the Nephar War was 
  pretty well documented."
Heimgal: "Yes... this is just past Neo Burg."
Heimgal: "And do you want to know HoW I know this?" ^_^
Kodah: "How?"
Samantha: "... Not especially, but if you insist..."
Heimgal: "How a genius like me can determine this and know..."
Samantha: ^^
Marcus: "Dragons and Goddesses, what good are they?  Half the problems of the 
  past were because they were interfering with humanity."
Heimgal: "Because!..."
* Heimgal shows them the plate "... it says so on this label..."
* Selene sweatdrops.
Yuuwaku: "What do you think of all this?" -_-;
* Kodah resists the urge to throttle Heimgal.
* Chrissy mimics Selene.
Galen: "Pal, that says 'Made in China.'"
* Varemi puts her head idly in her hands.... -_-;
Chrissy: "Hmm..."

--By the way, the chuckwagon is giving free snacks and drinks to all who would 
  like them.--

* Galen facepalms.
Samantha: "... Screw this!" ^^;
* Samantha heads over to the snack cart, in search of coffee!...  Or at least 
  a donut.
* Ambush 6000 suddenly perks up and scurries over to the drinks!
* Jan sighs. "Nothing worth bothering about.  I don't see the point really. 
  So at one point in time people might have believed in another goddess.  They 
  believe in Lucia today.  Who knows who it will be tomorrow?  Goddesses aren't 
  anything any more permanent than this ancient settlement."
Galen: "Yeah, the best leads we can possibly get will probably be in the 
  cave."
Heimgal: "Now let me go back to digging!"
* Yuuwaku shakes his head.
Heimgal: "I hope I have enlightened you."
Kodah: "Pfsh..."
* Heimgal continues to dig in hopes of getting rich.
Yuuwaku: "No, I mean about us coming here... about everything that's 
  happened..."
* Galen walks over to the snack bar.
* Kodah goes to check out the grub.
Chrissy: "Uhh... yeah... I feel swelling with knowledge... thanks." ^^;
* Varemi refolds her arms in a different way and begrudgingly considers doing 
  the evil thing. =b
* Jan blinks and rubs his head, somewhat embarrassed.  "Oh... that. I'm not 
  sure really.  I don't know what we should be doing.  I'd like to head back to 
  Vane sometime, but that's about it."
* Marcus is already at the snack cart with a coffee and a bagel in hand.
Yuuwaku: "Are we completely safe here though?"
* Chrissy walks away, picking up a random rock or two of the dig.  "I don't 
  think looking for ancient tupperware is my idea of archaeology anyway..." ^^
* Galen grabs a bottled water, and addresses the attendant.  "Hey, what's up?"
* Ambush 6000 slowly circles the cart, making swishing noises as it does so.
* Kodah slowly eats a muffin, considering options.
Attendant: "Nothing much...  It's pretty quiet here..."
* Marcus idly wonders what coffee would do the Ambush 6000.
* Jan walks over to the chuckwagon and gets a soda and sandwich.
* Varemi says with a strangely sarcastic tone, "It's always safe enough for a 
  BAGEL,  Yuuwaku."
Attendant: "Still, it's nice to get out and leave Neo Burg every once in a 
  while..."
* Chrissy returns to the cart and asks for some water.
Galen: "No joke.  By the way, which way is it to the nearest town?"
* Yuuwaku blinks at Varemi.
Jan: "I don't know, Yuuwaku."
* Samantha drinks her sweet, SWEET coffee, and nibbles on a sprinkled donut, 
  "... Yuu?  Aren't you gonna eat anything?"
Attendant: "That would be Neo Burg...  It's a little ways to the Northeast.  
  Careful around the Weird Woods, though..."
* Yuuwaku smiles up at Samantha, "I think I will, actually."
* Varemi is standing a little apart from the group, not taking in the muffin, 
  bagel, and coffee festivities.
* Yuuwaku gestures forward to Jan.
Yuuwaku: "Do you want to?"
Galen: "I gotcha.  Tell me, is Neo Burg a very big place?  Or just your sleepy 
  little town?"
* Selene has a bagel and some fruit for breakfast.
Chrissy: "Weird Woods?  That's a funny name."
* Ambush 6000 stops in front of a bottle of water and makes a steady beeping 
  noise, which gradually gets faster and faster."
* Yuuwaku stares at the bush blankly... what could it possibly want?" :P
Attendant: "Sleepy town...  Well, except for when that guy on the motorcycle 
  came through a couple weeks ago."
Galen: "Ah... now that I can relate to."
* Yuuwaku walks over and tentatively hands the water to the bush ^_^;;
* Chrissy looks at the bottle she's reaching for as the bush seems to be 
  staring at it with single minded intent.
* Marcus slides behind the Ambush and pours a little coffee into an open port.
Attendant: "Yeah...  He looked like a cross between a Hell's Angel and Steven 
  Seagal.  Very strange..."
* Varemi is standing close enough to join them in case of trouble, but far 
  enough away to not be necessarily part of the "group," then eventually walks 
  over... she stares at a bagel... and smirks. ^^
* Ambush 6000 stops beeping and deftly acquires the bottle from Yuuwaku's hand 
  with its tongue.
Galen: "That sounds like a place we may want to visit, eh, Chrissy?"
* Jan watches the bush to see what happens.
Chrissy: "Does that thing actually need to be watered...?"
* Yuuwaku bows apologetically to Chrissy, "Ah!  Sumimasen!  I didn't know you 
  were reaching for that."
Chrissy: "Oh, it's okay.  It looks like something wants it more than either of 
  us." ;)
Yuuwaku: "I think it might..."
Yuuwaku: "I don't know.  Is there a maintenance manual?"
* Ambush 6000 emits a flurry of beeping noises!
Yuuwaku: "Oh, I was giving it to the bush." ^_^;
* Galen nods to the attendant and then heads over to the rest of the group.
Attendant: "Anyway, just follow the river, and you should arrive at Neo Burg in 
  no time."
Galen: "Thanks."
* Yuuwaku takes a donut, sniffs at it and little and begins to eat it.
Chrissy: "Try it out... it must be a program to imitate natural plant 
  behavior."
Attendant: "Don't mention it."
Samantha: "My kingdom for a car..." ^^;
* Chrissy looks intrigued.
Galen: "Take it easy, Samantha.  This trip may be interesting. "
Yuuwaku: "I wonder how possible it would be to find our own methods of 
  transportation..."
* Ambush 6000 starts revolving rapidly, making more clinking noises than 
  rustling noises now.
* Marcus slowly walks away from the ambush.
Galen: "It appears that Neo Burg is just a hop, skip and a jump away, through 
  the Weird Woods."
Samantha: "Uh huh.  Going through a place called the WEIRD Woods just screams 
  fun and excitement." ^^;
* Kodah finishes his meager breakfast and looks out towards this supposed Neo 
  Burg.
Yuuwaku: "Why are they called the Weird Woods?"
* Chrissy tries opening the bottle and watering the bush with a few 
  sprinkles...
Galen: "Can't quite say, Yuu. "
Marcus: "Their might be some interesting creatures in there."
* Jan munches on his food.
* Varemi looks dimly over at Marcus.
Galen: "Too much about this area has been lost in the sands of time.  It's all 
  hidden in one obscure legend after another, so I really can't say."
* Ambush 6000 trundles away from Chrissy while sporadically furrowing its 
  leaves.
Yuuwaku: "Do you believe in dragons, Marcus?"
Jan: "Weird Woods...  Hm..."
Chrissy: "Hmm...  I guess not."
Chrissy: "Sorry, little guy." ^^;
Galen: "Jan, you said you're a hunter of sorts, back at the port town..."
* Ambush 6000 twitches its way over to Marcus.
Marcus: "Are there dragons?  There definitely were dragons once.  Whether any 
  exist now, I don't know.  Frankly, we're better off without them."
Jan: "Yes...  I am."
Kodah: "..."
* Samantha finishes her donut and works on her coffee. ^^
* Chrissy has a sip, wondering what to do now.
Yuuwaku: "Why do you say that?"
* Ambush 6000 shudders violently, and emits a cloud of vapor with a coffee-like 
  aroma.
Ambush 6000: *burp*
Galen: "I'm curious as to what exactly it is you're hunting.  With both of us 
  being from Vane and all, yet I never heard of you before I left town."
Marcus: "Dragons and goddesses have done nothing but interfere with human 
  society for thousands of years."
Jan: "How long ago did you leave Vane?"
Galen: "Roughly five or six years ago."
Ambush 6000: *rustle*
Varemi: "Mm...  Interfering.... "
Yuuwaku: "But I thought dragons just kind of stayed in their caves until 
  adventurers came to ask them for help?"
Kodah: "..."
Jan: "Ah...  Then that was before the necromancer battle."
Marcus: "Legends say that they took human form and a lot and wandered about in 
  society."
* Varemi folds her arms and reads everyone's expressions...
* Selene sighs and sits on a rock as she finishes her breakfast.
Jan: "I started my work roughly four years ago.  I hunt the dead."
* Chrissy rubs her chin.  "Mmm... well my company's named after the Blue 
  Dragon.  But it's not like I ever met 'em."
Yuuwaku: "Oh, that's right... but still..."
* Kodah looks off to the northwest with a stony expression.
Galen: "Marcus, legends say a lot... and believe me, not many of them have been 
  proven yet."
Yuuwaku: "And some of them have saved the world."
* Samantha looks at Jan with a sideways glance, a little surprised.
Yuuwaku: "Besides, don't humans cause just as many problems to themselves?"
* Ambush 6000 trundles back to Chrissy and slowly flutters its leaves.
Chrissy: "Hmm... oh... changed you mind, huh?"
Marcus: "Perhaps they did, but I believe that people have a destiny of their 
  own and that they should meet it without the help of powerful beings like the 
  Dragons."
Galen: "Hmmm... well, maybe we can help each other, then Jan."
* Jan still has a rather bemused, pleasant expression of his face, despite the 
  mention of his profession.
* Chrissy flicks a few gouts of water it's way.
Jan: "How so?"
* Yuuwaku blinks.
* Ambush 6000 hops up and down a bit.
Galen: "Well, have you heard of the spirits of the undead being hidden in 
  objects?"
Jan: "Yes."
Galen: "Such as... say... a pendant... or maybe a crown?"
* Kodah looks to the vendor behind the food cart, "How for to these Weird Woods 
  of yours?"
Yuuwaku: "But dragons are, or were, a part of this world.  I think they have 
  just as much of a right to it as humans do... and other races..."
Marcus: "People become lazy and weak when they think some god or goddess is 
  protecting them.  And the presence of such a being often attracts other
  beings with malevolent intents."
* Yuuwaku tucks some hair behind his ear self-consciously.
* Chrissy sighs and has one more sip, before sprinkling the rest on the bush. 
  "I wasn't too thirsty anyway." ^^;
Attendant: "Well, they're just to the west of Neo Burg.  Trust me, you don't 
  wanna go there.  The place is supposed to be haunted."
Galen: "Well, you know I'm searching for a Raven Darkholme, right?  That's 
  actually my sister."
Jan: "Is she dead?"
Kodah: "I'll be the judge of where I do and do not go."
Galen: "The spirit of a high undead is hidden within the crown that she 
  possesses."
Galen: "Or should I say... the crown has possessed her."
Samantha: "There's ranks of deadness?" ^^;
Samantha: "Watch me go to the janitor class when I die." ^^;
Jan: "Interesting.  How are you certain?"
Chrissy: "Haunted?  Oh, don't gimme that.  It's probably no truth to it."
Attendant: "Suit yourself.  Don't say I didn't warn ya."
Galen: "Because I felt it from the astral plane, that's how."
Yuuwaku: "Well... at least I'm not the only one who isn't human here." -_-;
Varemi: ". . ."
Selene: "What?"
* Chrissy looks at Yuuwaku.  "Why do you say that?"
Samantha: "You're not human, Yuu?  You... oh." O_o
Marcus: "You're not human?"
Kodah: "..?"
* Jan shrugs. "Well, enough.  And she's disappeared right now?"
* Yuuwaku points to his ears and shows his fangs.
Galen: "She moves around like a shadow, Jan."
Samantha: ^^; "My goddess.  I'm dense.  I didn't even notice your ears... your 
  hair covered them sometimes."
Selene: "Oh..."
Yuuwaku: "Not unless I was born with a genetic mutation." ^_^
Varemi: "Nothing wrong with that." ;b
* Kodah shrugs.
* Yuuwaku giggles.
* Selene blushes at not noticing Yuuwaku's unique traits.
Chrissy: "Oh, that...  I'm used to beastpeople.  I've got a few in the family, 
  you know?"
Jan: "Hmm...  Do you have any information on the undead inside the crown?  
  Name?  Origin?"
Galen: "She's been rather quiet for the past couple of years, so I took the 
  time to study some Terran sorcery so that I can combat her magic.. and use my 
  astral magic to stop the crown."
* Jan is no longer smiling.
Marcus: "I have nothing against beastmen.  Its the so-called 'higher beings' I 
  dislike."
Galen: "No... not really... but I know it's powerful... much more powerful than 
  I was when I first encountered it.... when Radoria kidnapped Raven."
* Varemi folds her arms... she's the shortest person in the party and doesn't 
  even have a normal skin tone. =p
* Kodah hefts his pack, making an announcement to the group, "I am going to Neo

Marcus: "I didn't think elves have fangs?"
* Galen follows Kodah, but tries to continue his conversation with Jan.
* Jan notices Kodah leaving and nods.  "Yes."
Yuuwaku: "..."
Yuuwaku: ^_^;;
Varemi: "... ......"
Chrissy: "Well, I won't rank on you either way...  It's a good look for you!"
Galen: "Raven's magic is the reason I took up studying Terran sorcery.  
  Radoria trained her in his magic, but she killed him... and took the crown 
  for herself."
* Samantha notes Kodah's announcement and grabs onto Yuu's hand gently, "I never 
  heard of THAT kind of elf!" ^^;

--The weather is perfect, today, and the Caldor River is calm.--

* Varemi mutters something incoherent with an expressionless face and follows 
  along with whomever until... whatever.
Jan: "What good is Terran sorcery?"
* Chrissy laughs, and races to catch Kodah.
Yuuwaku: "I was joking.  I don't know what I am really... but I like to say
  I'm an elf." ^_^
Galen: "Well, I'm hoping that the spells I know can combat her magic.  While I 
  also use my spellcraft and astral spells to destroy the spirit in the 
  crown."
Samantha: ^^ "Heh.  That's fine."
Varemi: "... *unhearable unless you're right next to her* ... And what if I 
  was...." --;
* Selene follows.  "Wow...  I had no idea this place was so beautiful..."
Galen: "So, what I'm saying is, if you need a hand in your profession, I'll 
  gladly assist...  You may need someone who knows about the energies of the 
  spirit realm."
* Kodah trods along in silence, looking very focused.
* Chrissy wonders why she hears tropical island music in her head.
* Yuuwaku looks at his hand, held in Samantha's..."

--In the distance, anchored on the river, is a very fancy-looking high-tech 
  catamaran yacht...--

Galen: "But I'm also hoping you can assist in giving me a bit of information 
  that might help me destroy that spirit in the crown."
* Varemi makes there be less of a distance between herself and the group and 
  ends up next to whoever is trailing around the end.

--The yacht is a very interesting mix of teal blue and white in color...--

* Chrissy stares. "Hey... what is that doing here?"
* Ambush 6000 pants happily at Varemi.
* Selene smiles shyly at Varemi.
Galen: "Strange color scheme...."
* Yuuwaku gently disengages his hand from Samantha's.
Yuuwaku: "Samantha?"
Samantha: "Er...  Yes?" ^^;
* Varemi looks down at the bush and blinks greenly at Selene.
* Marcus looks at Chrissy, "Let me guess, it's a yacht from Blue Dragon 
  Technologies."
* Kodah examines the yacht, wondering why someone would choose such an oddball 
  color scheme.
Yuuwaku: "I've been thinking..."
Yuuwaku: "Or I was last night..."
Samantha: "What about, Yuu?"

--As you approach the yacht, you see its name painted on the side, the "Flying 
  Cat."--

Yuuwaku: "Battle tactics."
Chrissy: "It sure looks like it.  Why is it I keep seeing all the big equipment 
  on this trip?" *rubs head*
Samantha: "Battle... tactics?"
Yuuwaku: "We've been in two fights thus far, I'm sure we'll be in more."
* Kodah stops dead as he reads the name. o_o;
Galen: "One would thank that Teal herself was running around here somewhere."

--There is also a guard standing on the shore near the yacht's gangplank.--

Chrissy: "Flying... Cat?"
Kodah: . o O (This can NOT be a coincidence!)
Selene: "Kodah... are you all right?"
Yuuwaku: "If we're going to be fighting, we should fight as a group..."
Chrissy: "How could a cat fly anyway?" ^^;
Samantha: "I agree with that..."

--The guard appears friendly enough, as guards go...--

Yuuwaku: "That's an entirely different way of... flying cat?  Where?"
* Yuuwaku notices the boat.
* Chrissy decides to approach the guardsman.
* Kodah stares, then resumes his trek, "I'm fine.  It's just a strange name for 
  a boat, that's all."
Yuuwaku: "Ooh."
Guard: "Hello, miss..."
* Ambush 6000 suddenly stops as it gets about twenty feet away from the yacht 
  and slowly shudders backwards.
* Varemi smirks a little...
* Galen shakes his head.
Chrissy: "Hi there... just was wondering who's yacht this was.  It's really 
  sleek." ;)
Yuuwaku: "I guess the bush doesn't like the boat?"
Guard: "Oh, the 'Flying Cat' here?  It belongs to a very influential person 
  within Blue Dragon Technologies.  The CEO, actually!"
Kodah: ". . ."
* Chrissy bugeyes. "THE CEO?  Holy moley." o_O
Samantha: . o O ( That CEO again... )
* Galen narrows his eyes in deep thought.
* Varemi walks up and puts a hand at the side of her face and maiden in 
  distress-edly gasps.  "Why, is she here?"

--Just after that comment by Chrissy, Tianna walks out on the deck of the 
  ship...--

Tianna: "Ahh, what a gorgeous day..."
Kodah: . o O (Her again...)
Yuuwaku: "I suspect that considering how strong our enemy is and the money and 
  power they seem to have that it would probably be more beneficial if we were 
  to...."
* Chrissy sweatdrops.
Marcus: "Why do I find it suspicious that we keep coming across vehicles that 
  are owned by the bigwigs of BDT?"
* Yuuwaku notices Tianna.
* Yuuwaku freezes.
Yuuwaku: "We should go."
Chrissy: "Tianna?"
Tianna: "Gaaaaaa!  What...  What...  How..."
Samantha: "What's wrong, Yuu?"
* Tianna blushes.
* Tianna sweatdrops.
Chrissy: "You're the CEO of BDT?"
* Tianna answers sheepishly...  "Well... yeah..."
Yuuwaku: *whisper* "Wasn't she one of the people who's caused us to be in this 
  mess?" -_-;
Kodah: ". . ."
* Tianna bows her head embarassedly.
Galen: .oO(Probably more than that.  She's got that strangely powerful astral 
  aura about her.)
* Varemi makes a piss poor maiden in distress as she is still dressed in her 
  most suspicious and strange outfit she was found in, a strange old-technology 
  piece of work in the form of a leotard and gloves, BTW.
Samantha: *whisper* "True... but I find it suspicious that she keeps showing 
  up.  I want to know who she is... well, besides the CEO..."
* Ambush 6000 hides behind Varemi.
Tianna: "So...  Umm, what are you doing here?"
Yuuwaku: *whisper* "Maybe she's following us..?" -_-;
* Chrissy laughs.  "Guess I was intimidated for nothing, eh?  It kinda figures 
  we'd run into you again at this rate anyway."
Marcus: "What are you doing here?"
* Tianna still looks very embarrassed.
Varemi: "Oh, just.... strolling along...."
Kodah: "Looking for an explanation as to why we keep running into you."
* Varemi looks back at Selene...
* Yuuwaku turns to look at Selene as well.
Yuuwaku: "Don't you want to rejoin your friend?"
Tianna: "Coincidence?  I'm just on vacation...  I felt like visiting the sites 
  of the ancient dragon caves on Lunar."
Selene: "Is something wrong?"
* Yuuwaku notices the way Varemi is looking at Selene... realizes what he just 
  said..."
Chrissy: "Well, er... we just decided to take a little tour of Lunar. Things 
  got really hectic back on the Blue Star."
* Kodah's facial expression indicates he's not buying this.
* Varemi watches everyone's face...
Selene: "It's okay, really...  She's too busy taking care of other things to 
  keep me away from the Church..."
* Ambush 6000 is still behind Varemi and shuddering.
Varemi: "Hmm."
Tianna: "I know...  I arranged your passage here...  Sorry about all the 
  trouble."
Yuuwaku: "..."
* Varemi looks down at the bush.
Varemi: "...."
Yuuwaku: "You arranged it?"
Samantha: "..."
Kodah: "..."
Tianna: "You did fly on *my* spaceplane, didn't you?"
Chrissy: "You're not helping us all out because of Selene or me are you?" ^^;
Yuuwaku: "I am beginning to have the feeling that you've arranged a lot of 
  things."
* Ambush 6000 stops shuddering and "looks" up at Varemi.
* Galen eyes Tianna.  .oO(Who are you, really, Ms. Tianna?)
* Varemi stares at her.  "Thanks for getting the Church away from us. Now I 
  believe we deserve an explanation."
Tianna: "Well, it's mostly because of Selene...  But you guys are also special, 
  I can feel it..."
* Varemi looks very much bizzare.
Tianna: "Explanation?" ^^;;
Kodah: "I concur.  We have been put into extreme danger.  We deserve to know 
  what's going on."
Marcus: "You don't know the half of it sister."
Yuuwaku: "Yes, and you are special too.  But what does that mean to us?"
Chrissy: "Well I'm not THAT special... but thanks for noticing.  Heh." ^_^
* Varemi looks around so see who else is in the area other than the party and 
  this CEO.
Tianna: "I'm sorry...  I had no idea the Church was going to attack the 
  building in Tijuana."

--There are just lots of trees, the river, etc., in the area.--

* Chrissy darkens a bit.  "That was my fault...  I feel real bad over it."
Tianna: "Don't be...  It's all my fault...  If I had known I'd get you in all 
  this trouble, I wouldn't have asked."
Varemi: "I'm sure _I_ have some hand in that as well..." *passingly*
* Tianna bows her head in shame.
Samantha: "Tianna...  It's just... I just want to know why you're helping us so 
  much?  What do you get out of it?"
* Kodah slides a glance at Varemi, but lets that pass.
Galen: "Look, what's done is done...  Let's just concentrate on staying alive 
  for now, okay?"
Tianna: "I don't know...  I mean...  You guys... remind me of someone, that's 
  all..."
Chrissy: "Well, I'm always getting into trouble...  You probably know all about 
  the stuff in my dossier.  Heh." ^^;
* Yuuwaku frowns.
* Tianna forces a small chuckle.
Galen: .oO(Do we... just who are you?)
Yuuwaku: "Do you know Electra?"
Tianna: "Yes, Electra works for me.  So does the Grim Rapper."
Yuuwaku: "Who was she?  What are the Neo Pharosians?  Who is *she*? *gestures 
  to Varemi* And what about her? *gestures to Selene*"
Samantha: "Works for you...?"
* Chrissy tilts her head.
Varemi: "Heh..."
Kodah: . o O (Hrmph, she's not willing to tell us everything yet.)
Varemi: "That answers the other question."
Varemi: "..."
Chrissy: "... That's some payroll you've got there, Tianna."
Varemi: "Oh, and.."
Tianna: "Well...  We're not really sure about Varemi...  She'd probably know 
  more about herself than we do...  We just know she was found in an ancient 
  facility that belonged to Lizzareth Pharos."
Varemi: "You could just ask ME who I am.  I wouldn't have just told you all in 
  front of all of those people."
* Galen just stays quiet, trying to figure out just who this woman is.
Varemi: "In the limo... on the boat..."
Chrissy: "But... why stick your neck out for us so much like that? I don't get 
  it."
Yuuwaku: "But how do I know I can trust you?" *to Varemi*
Tianna: "As for Selene...  Well...  She's just in hot water with the Church, 
  and I'm protecting her."
Varemi: "True."
* Kodah turns his back on the situation, thinking hard about something.
* Ambush 6000 slowly moves towards a nearby clump of foliage.
Yuuwaku: "Though I would ask you later..."
Yuuwaku: "But perhaps sometime when we can have some privacy."
Tianna: *to Chrissy* "As I said, you guys seem... familiar to me, somehow...  I 
  can't quite place it... but I get the feeling that I should be looking out 
  for you... which is why I feel so bad about all the trouble I've caused..."

* Varemi puts her hands behind her back, emphasizing her bizzare clothing.
Yuuwaku: "Will you give us a boat?"
Galen: "Don't, Tianna.  What's done is done."
Galen: "Right now, the only concern we should have is to stay alive and see 
  this thing through to the end."
Tianna: "Well, I don't have any boats to spare...  However, I'll give you guys 
  a ride to Meribia later, if you want...  Oh, and I guarantee you free 
  transport on any spaceplanes or teleporters..."
Yuuwaku: "A ride from you would be better than a ride from someone random."
Yuuwaku: "If you're going to rat on us, you'd do it anyway."
Samantha: "Is there something we should see in Meribia?"
Tianna: "Well, things should be safe here...  The Church is going crazy looking 
  for you guys on the Blue Star."
Galen: "No, she won't."
Chrissy: "Come on Yuu, she's my big cheese boss..." ^^;
Marcus: "What kind of end do you see for us, Galen?  We're fugitives from the 
  Church?"
Varemi: "Hmmmh."
Yuuwaku: "...."
Yuuwaku: "Maybe we could set them on the wrong trail then..."
Tianna: "Nothing special in Meribia, it's just that it's on the mainland...  
  You may want to leave there for Vane, Azado, who knows where?"
* Galen looks Tianna right in the eyes.  "You have a much grander scheme in the 
  works involving us, don't you, Ms. Tianna."
Chrissy: "Don't point so many fingers to someone who's saved your bacon, I 
  say."
Tianna: "Why do you say that?" *sweatdrops*
Kodah: "..."
Galen: "Just a hunch."
* Kodah turns and continues on to Neo Burg.
* Varemi looks up at the sky innocently as a bizzare, fake looking person with 
  huge alienish eyes and messed up proportions can. =b
Yuuwaku: "..."
Yuuwaku: "Can you at least get Varemi a new outfit?" :|
Tianna: "Look...  I'm truly sorry about what happened...  If I had known the 
  Church was going to be in Tijuana, I wouldn't have asked you guys, okay?"
* Marcus looks at Tianna, "Let's just say that you seem to be more than you 
  appear to be."
* Tianna thinks...  "I don't think she's my size..."
Yuuwaku: "Or glasses?" >_
* Varemi is 5'5 and... irrational.
* Tianna looks at her chest.  "Hey!  These are real, I don't know why you're 
  insinuating that!  Oh, you're not talking about those... umm..."
* Tianna blushes.
Chrissy: "Well... I didn't exactly pack clothes with me here." ^^;
Kodah: . o O (Something's going on here.  There are too many coincidences. Too
   many connections...)
Galen: "There's something definitely different about you, Tianna.  I can't 
  quite place it, though.  But hey, that just makes this more interesting."
Samantha: . o O ( I don't have a good feeling about this at all... )
* Varemi looks idly at Kodah leaving. =b
* Yuuwaku watches Kodah.
Tianna: "Looks like your friend split..."
Samantha: "... I'll keep an eye on him."
Galen: "We'd better follow him."
* Samantha runs after Kodah!
* Chrissy ponders.
* Galen follows Sam.
Tianna: "Just remember, if you guys wanna head for Meribia from here, I'll give 
  you a ride on the 'Flying Cat'!" :)
* Varemi shakes her head at something...
Chrissy: "Gosh, there's a lot I want to ask, but.. hey... guys!  Hold up!"
* Marcus follows the rest of the group.
Kodah: .o O (There's got to be something underlying this whole business...)
* Ambush 6000 continues to commune with the other flora.
Selene: "Excuse me, Te... er Tianna...  I should catch up..."
Ambush 6000: *rustle*
* Tianna sighs a bit with relief and nods to Selene.
Varemi: "Oh well."
* Selene heads off after Kodah.
* Chrissy bows clumsily to Tianna.  "I'll hold you to that!"
* Yuuwaku narrows his eyes at Tianna, "Alright... I guess it doesn't matter 
  whether I trust you or not."
* Chrissy heads after her comrades.
* Varemi hasn't run to follow yet...
* Tianna looks broken hearted that people don't trust her, as if she's not used 
  to that treatment...
* Yuuwaku turns on his heel and heads after the group.
* Kodah makes his way through the rougher terrain with practiced ease.
* Varemi turns on her heel and starts walking.
* Varemi looks disturbed that she did that right in step with Yuuwaku. =b
Samantha: "Hey, Kodah!  Wait up!"
* Tianna looks like she's going to cry...
* Ambush 6000 ignores the others and flutters suggestively next to another 
  shrubbery.
* Kodah wracks his brain, trying to make the few puzzle pieces he has fit 
  together in some way.
* Yuuwaku puts a hand on Varemi's shoulder.

--Within a few moments, everyone is reunited.--

Yuuwaku: "Hey...?"
Yuuwaku: "Ah... we caught up with them." -_-;
* Ambush 6000 is still next to the other shrubbery, as frustrated as a bush can 
  look as a result of its advances not being returned.

--The shrubbery near the path you're walking on rustles...--

* Yuuwaku pouts at the Ambush.
* Samantha blinks.
Yuuwaku: "Don't be silly bushes can't...???" O_O

--The bushes rustle more...--

Varemi: ". . ."
* Ambush 6000 makes a short series of low blipping noises and quietly trundles 
  back to the group.
* Varemi tries not to laugh at a sneaking suspicion.
* Kodah slows his pace a bit to walk next to Varemi, "In the spirit of all the 
  other mysteries of late, may I ask you a question?"
Varemi: "... Go ahead."
* Varemi notices they're in the woods now.
* Varemi looks up at Kodah, him being the tallest member of the group and her 
  being the shortest. =b
Kodah: "Having no better way to say this, I will be blunt.  Who are you?"
* Varemi looks around at the woods, being sure just the group is here.
Varemi: "Since we're well into the woods and I'm stuck with the group, I'll 
  tell you."

--The woods are quiet...  Too quiet... :P--

Galen: "This is just all too strange."
* Ambush 6000 stays close to Yuuwaku.
* Varemi looks up at him with frosty eyes... "I'd better make this quick, 
  huh..."
Varemi: "... I'm what is called a 'bio-human.'"
* Kodah glances around, "Perhaps you should."
Marcus: "These woods are quiet, too quiet.  We should at least be hearing some 
  kind of wildlife."
* Chrissy catches her breath.  "Why did you just jet like that anyway?"
Kodah: "Meaning what?  The term means nothing to me."
* Samantha draws her sword, on alert.
* Jan loosely around uneasily.  "True."

--In the distance, you can hear the calls of Albino Baboons...--

Varemi: "I was made in a laboratory for... *cruely laughs* wonderful 
  purposes.....  Hmm, better continue this _later_..."
Galen: "Oh great... those damn monkeys..."
* Chrissy blinks.  "Hmm... okay, forget I asked."
Kodah: "Indeed.  Later would suffice."
* Marcus pulls out his gun, "As much as I hate hurting animals . . ."

--From the left side of the road, you hear bushes rustling...  From the right, 
  a buzzing sound...--

* Galen readies his talismans.  "This isn't going to be pretty."
Samantha: "Uh oh..."
* Kodah slides into a combat position, straining his senses all around him."
* Jan draws out his shurikens and fans them before him.
* Varemi turns... and readies to battle.  But how CAN she??  She has no weapons 
  and is wearing boots and a leotard!!

--Suddenly, you're attacked by a group of insects accompanied by a group of 
  white simians!--

* Ambush 6000 moves about eight feet away from Yuuwaku and clamps itself into 
  the ground.
* Chrissy looks to the buzzing sound, rubbing her slightly sore fists. "This 
  island doesn't have weird mutant bees too or anything, does it?"

===COMBAT!===

* Galen lines the talismans up, and the gems begin to glow.
* Varemi stands... doesn't even take a notable stance!
Chrissy: "Ack...  I hate it when I'm right!"
* Yuuwaku looks for Samantha.
Yuuwaku: "Samantha?"
Samantha: "Yes?"
Kodah: "Hmm... four Albino Baboons in front, and four Dung Beetles in back."
Yuuwaku: "I don't know how strong these are, but do you want to try to take one 
  out with me?" ^_^
Samantha: "Sure, how do you want to go about it?" ^^
Yuuwaku: "You have Quickslash right?  I think I saw you do it."
* Samantha nods.
Yuuwaku: "Let's both do it on that one!" *points to the second baboon*
* Chrissy looks at the enemies with a glint in her eye.  "Well, noone said 
  vacations were all relaxing...!"
* Samantha smiles, "Okay!"
Galen: "Yuu, wait and I'll enhance that with my magic, okay?"
Galen: "But I have to do something first..."
Yuuwaku: "What magic do you know, Galen?"
Galen: "Spirit magic, black magic... and a secret style..."
* Varemi listens curiously at the magic....."
Yuuwaku: "But what spells?"
Galen: "Just watch, okay?"
Yuuwaku: "Okay."
* Varemi doesn't talk... looks ready to attack her way if not told otherwise.
Galen: "After I finish this one."
* Jan isn't going to bother with magic for a bunch of animals.

	Yuuwaku pauses...
	Kodah attacks Albino Baboon A!

* Kodah charges at a Baboon, slides underneath it and kicks it up into the air. 
  He props his stick so that the Baboon is speared in its tip, then tosses it 
  aside as he rolls to his feet again!
* Yuuwaku readies himself for the attack.

	First attack...  8 damage...

* Varemi raises her fists.... both in front of her.
* Ambush 6000 unclamps itself in the middle of the melee and quietly disappears 
  into the foliage.

	Second attack...  10 damage.

* Kodah flips back to the group, disappointed with his efforts.
Samantha: "They're pretty tough...  Let's see what we can do..."
* Yuuwaku nods.

	Yuuwaku and Samantha cast Cross Cut!

Samantha: "Let's go, Yuu!"
Yuuwaku: "Yosh!"

	Samantha and Yuuwaku create a perfect cross, a red beam trailing behind them, 
  as they slash Albino Baboon B!
	Albino Baboon B suffers 30 damage!

Chrissy: "Hey... smooth moves!"
Kodah: "... Impressive teamwork."
* Jan nods.

	Jan attacks Albino Baboon A!

Samantha: "Hah!  Not bad, Yuu. ^^ We should do that more often!"

	First attack...  Critical hit!  16 damage!

* Galen begins chanting.  "Lords of darkness of all four realms, on thine bonds 
  do I now swear.  Grant to me now all the power that thou doth possess."
* Ambush 6000 can barely be heard rustling in the foliage somewhere behind the 
  Dung Beetles.

	Second attack...  9 damage.

* Jan smiles, somewhat satisfied with his attack.

	Varemi casts Ice Dagger on Dung Beetle A!

Yuuwaku: "Yatta!" ^_^
* Varemi closes her eyes, the runes on her gloves flash.
Yuuwaku: "Hmm... it was strong, but I think maybe if we both attacked normally 
  it might be stronger."

	Dung Beetle A is impaled by a dagger of pure ice for 31 damage!

* Varemi opens her eyes in the next split second and drops her hands back to 
  her sides.
* Yuuwaku blinks.
Samantha: "Probably... it was good to try, though." ^_^
Yuuwaku: "..."
Yuuwaku: "Wow."
* Yuuwaku switches to a more defensive position.

	Albino Baboon A attacks Yuuwaku!

* Yuuwaku attempts to block with his sword.
* Chrissy braces herself as the apes advance. "Bring it on, white trash..." ;)

	Yuuwaku parries the attack!
	Albino Baboon B attacks Chrissy!
	Chrissy is hit for 5 damage.

* Yuuwaku spins slightly to look at the others.

	Albino Baboon casts Snowball on Jan!

* Jan tries to duck.
* Varemi wonders where he gets that snow...
Yuuwaku: "If anyone is seriously injured, then we need to heal them... the 
  weakest member should do that."
Varemi: "... "

	The Albino Baboon winds up and tosses a Snowball at Jan for 12 damage.

Varemi: "I... uhm..."
* Chrissy takes a shot in her side, but it doesn't phase her much...

	Albino Baboon D attacks Kodah!

* Kodah leaps back and onto the tip of his staff, trying to put more distance 
  between him and his attacker.

	Kodah is hit for 4 damage.

* Varemi doesn't continue... watches for who gets hurt from her position in the 
  back row.

	Dung Beetle A takes off and attacks Varemi!

* Kodah gets knocked down, but seems largely unphased.
* Varemi narrows her eyes at it and attempts a vague block with her skinny 
  arms.

	Varemi is hit for 1 damage.
	Dung Beetle B takes off and attacks Galen!
* Yuuwaku keeps one eye on the group, the other on the enemies they are 
  facing.
* Galen tries to put up a barrier in time.... or at least dodge.

	Galen is hit for 11 damage.
	Dung Beetle C attacks Samantha!
	Samantha is hit for 4 damage.

Yuuwaku: "No one here knows how to heal?"

	Dung Beetle D attacks Chrissy!

Samantha: "Gack!  Hey ow!  Go bite someone else!"
Kodah: "Sorry, not in my repertoire."
Chrissy: "My parents wanted me to be a doctor, but I couldn't cut it... heh!"

Yuuwaku: "Probably not the second baboon."
Yuuwaku: "We should hit one that hasn't been beaten too badly."

Yuuwaku: "But other people should attack the second one since I think it will 
  die soon... but with normal attacks."
* Ambush 6000 plays a "ta-da!" fanfare and camouflages itself again.
Galen: "Hit the third baboon, Yuu, Sam."

* Chrissy gives the bush a thumbs up.

Samantha: "Right!"

* Galen eyes Albino Baboon C, as his hand glows with the light blue energies of 
  the spirit realm."
Galen: "Just keep hittin' them, Yuu.  We'll take them down."
Samantha: "...Round?" ^^;
Yuuwaku: "Ahh... sorry, I played a lot of games when I was younger." ^_^;;

	Yuuwaku and Samantha cast Cross Cut on Albino Baboon C!

* Chrissy laughs as she hears the word "round."  "The bell hasn't rung just 
  yet!"
* Yuuwaku does the wonderful slice of death
* Samantha slashes, cuts, and dices!

	Albino Baboon C is crossed out with a big red X for 26 damage!

Yuuwaku: "Do you have any other sort of magic Samantha? I'm sorry, I forgot if 
  you told me." ^_^;;

	Kodah attacks Albino Baboon A!

* Kodah rushes forward and polevaults into the air above baboon #1, then drive 
  his staff down with all his weight.  As he and the baboon hit the ground, he 
  executes a reverse snap kick under the baboon's chin!

Samantha: "I can command plant life a little..."
* Kodah leaps back, cursing his ill luck.
Yuuwaku: "Do you think any of these would be weak against that or thunder 
  magic?"
Chrissy: "Just don't start hugging trees in those woods."
Samantha: "... Maybe the baboons..."
Galen: "Highly doubtful, but you can try, Yuu."
Galen: "That's why I'm trying this spell."
Marcus: "I'm afraid the baboons look like they'd be weak against fire magic."

	Varemi casts Crocus Wind on Galen!

* Yuuwaku nods.
Yuuwaku: "You're probably right Marcus."
* Ambush 6000 can be heard shuddering upon Yuuwaku's mention of the words 
  "thunder magic," but quickly goes back to its hiding.
Yuuwaku: "This is a cold climate, right?"

	Galen sees purple crocus blossoms in the wind and can smell their fragrance 
  as Varemi invades his mind with her dream spells...

* Varemi closes her eyes and her runes flash.  A little brighter this time, but 
  not by much.

	Galen recovers 31 HP...

Galen: "Hmm... just what I needed... Aroma therapy... Thanks, Varemi."
Yuuwaku: "Perhaps we should try our normal attacks then."
* Varemi opens her eyes and drops her hands to her sides, having finished her 
  little delirium. =b

* Chrissy blocks the hit rather nicely between her arms, but the second grazes

* Kodah charges directly at his attacker, and slides under it.  As soon as he 
  clears it, he pushes back with all his might and vaults back over it again 
  and it turns around to hit him!

  slightly.
* Galen forms a lance of spirit energy out of the glow around his hand.  "Let's 
  hope this works."

	Dung Beetle A attacks Marcus!

* Kodah shakes off the attack, looking a tad bruised.

	Dung Beetle B attacks Samantha...

Galen: "Look out, Sam."
Yuuwaku: "We have to start killing these things..."

* Varemi tilts her head boredly.  "Which is primary?  Baboons or beetles?"

Kodah: "Concentrate on the Beetles. The Baboons have already taken beatings."
Yuuwaku: "Can't tell... I've only been hit by a baboon."

	Dung Beetle D casts Beetle Bomb on Varemi!

Yuuwaku: "Shouldn't we kill the baboons while they're weak though?"
Chrissy: "Time to break out the Raid..." ^^;

	Dung Beetle D flies high into the air and does a suicide dive into Varemi...

* Ambush 6000 collapses and disappears into the foliage once again."
* Galen creates an aura of fire around his hand.  "Get a load of this."
* Yuuwaku eyes Galen.

* Varemi is charging her runes again, this one the same amount as her first 
  spell.
* Jan concentrates on the battle.

* Yuuwaku runs forward and brings the sword up in an arc and then twists to the 
  side and slashes back down.

Kodah: "Impressive."

* Ambush 6000 does a weird little trundling dance in the ashes of what's left 
  of Albino Baboon D.

	Albino Baboon D is hit for 6 damage and is no more!

* Chrissy curses.  "Aw man, I forgot to charge it before leaving home!  Too 
  late now." ^^;

* Galen summons his red flames again.  "Let's hope this works."

* Kodah clubs a beetle with his staff and into a tree! He then flips his grip 
  around and spears the stunned bug in one swift motion!

* Yuuwaku pulls a cloth out from somewhere, wipes his blade down quickly and 
  then sheaths it back at his belt.
* Ambush 6000 plays a rather synthy version of the Final Fantasy victory 
  fanfare.
* Kodah shoots a glance at the Ambush, but says nothing.
* Yuuwaku stares blankly at the bush.

Kodah: "Considering your lack of physical agression, I must agree with that."
* Varemi looks oddly at Yuuwaku.
Selene: "Is everybody all right?"
Varemi: "Well, the magic... it was a gift."
Varemi: "In case I should ever need to defend myself.  A hope I'd escape.."
* Yuuwaku stares at Varemi.
* Kodah looks at Yuu, "Entertainment?"
Samantha: "I'm all right.  A little beat up, but all right. ^^ And you, Miss 
  Selene?"
Yuuwaku: "Yes, look at her."
Yuuwaku: "Why would you make someone who looked so funny?"
* Kodah looks back to Selene, "I am fine.  I will mend in time."
Chrissy: "So that's how it works... it was a gift from your maker.  That's a 
  little spooky, to tell you the truth."
Selene: "Are you sure?"
Varemi: "..."
Chrissy: "Making people... I guess nothing was out of technology's reach back 
  then..."
Varemi: "Yuuwaku IS right.  I WAS. "
* Chrissy thinks of something.
* Kodah notices Varemi's change in reaction, "We can continue this discussion 
  later if you prefer."
* Chrissy starts walking as she does so.  "Hey... umm... Varemi?"
* Varemi looks lazily back at Chrissy.
Yuuwaku: "She was made to attract attention."
Varemi: "Mm?"

--In the distance, you can see a suspicious looking wooded area to the left.  
  On the right, you see a bridge across the river and a small village not far 
  beyond that...--

Chrissy: "I probably don't know much about your time, but... sometime when 
  we're out of this mess we should have a little talk."
Galen: "Does it really matter WHY she was made?  She's a human being, and the 
  ones who made her are deader than doornails.  She should be free to make her 
  own choices in life, now that she is free."
Varemi: "What time do you think I'm from?"
* Kodah angles towards the village.
* Varemi has a strange look in her eye, a little interested."
Kodah: "..."
Kodah: "I cannot say from when you came.  I know too little about you."
Chrissy: "Well, sometime that probably was a lot more exciting that today... 
  hehe. ^_^ Well, at least to me, anyway."
* Samantha stares off into the forest, now enjoying the view.
* Jan follows Kodah, listening, but not saying much.

--You soon reach the bridge...  The village is due east, and the strange wooded 
  area is due west.--

Varemi: "I never found it especially exciting.  Oh... and I meant Chrissy."
* Kodah continues to press eastward.
Yuuwaku: "When were you created?"
* Ambush 6000 "looks" longingly at the wooded area that was to the west.
* Galen wanders up to Samantha.  "So, you're enjoying this trip, huh?"
* Yuuwaku pats the bush absentmindedly.
* Varemi practically floats on perfect footsteps in the direction of whoever is 
  at front.
Marcus: "I doubt that anybody wants the strange wooded area."
Chrissy: "Well... the sheer fact you're here proves things like that did exist 
  way back when.  It's a little more than a hobby to me, studying it... but..."
Ambush 6000: *swish*
Samantha: "Yeah... now that nothing is attacking us..." ^^
Galen: "Same here.  This is actually interesting, to say the least."

--The bridge is a simple, wooden thing...--

Chrissy: "Well, maybe if people would learn from the past, we wouldn't keep 
  making a lot of mistakes, you know?"
* Kodah considers things as he walks.  Such has been the day for him.
Yuuwaku: "Does it really matter?"
Yuuwaku: "As long as the world continues to exist."
Yuuwaku: "People will cause problems and then other people will fix them."
Galen: "'Those who don't learn from history are doomed to repeat it,'
  Chrissy?"
Jan: "Agreed, Yuuwaku."
* Chrissy laughs.  "If they didn't, I'd be out of a job!"
Yuuwaku: "Whether we cause the problems or fix them or do nothing, it's all the 
  same."
Kodah: "Those that remember the mistakes of the past will seek to create new 
  ones"
* Ambush 6000 crosses the bridge carefully.
Jan: "That's an interesting philosophy."
Yuuwaku: "And those who do not care will create both."
Kodah: "Such is the nature of 'progress.'"
Jan: "I don't think people actually seek to create mistakes.  They wouldn't be 
  mistakes otherwise."
Galen: "That's why we learn from those mistakes, to better ourselves."
Yuuwaku: "I cannot better myself."
Chrissy: "Look at us, getting all philosophical suddenly."
Samantha: "Course you can..."
Ambush 6000: *clink-clink*
Yuuwaku: "I can live or I can die."

--After a short walk, you arrive at the outskirts of the village.  There are 
  plenty of friendly, talkative-looking people here, as well as an item shop. 
  :)--

Yuuwaku: "Unless one of those is better than the other."
Samantha: "There's more than just life or death,y ou know." ^^:
* Kodah goes quiet again, having said his peace.
* Yuuwaku looks to Samantha.
Marcus: "I believe that 'You can live and you will die,' is more proper."
Yuuwaku: "Yes... but those are things I cannot have."
Samantha: "Of course you can have other things. ^^; Like friendship and joy and 
  love..."
* Ambush 6000 quickly shuffles in front of the group and tries to block their 
  passage for a minute.
Chrissy: "Yeah, Yuu... don't be so hung up on that stuff.  Anyone can have 
  anything they want with a little hard work and effort." ^_^
Yuuwaku: "Do you really think so?"
* Kodah nearly steps on the ambush, then stops in front of it.

--The village appears to be a quiet, fishing village.  Various people are 
  running around town, appearing as if they are preparing for some sort of 
  festival.--

Kodah: "What now?"
Galen: "It's not that we live and die, Yuu, but what we do in the time we've 
  been given that matters."
* Ambush 6000 raises its projector and displays what appears to be a 
  promotional video.
Chrissy: "Well, of course I do.  You think I got where I was just thinking 
  about things?"
* Varemi listens to the conversation slightly with an odd sideglance.
* Jan looks around, wondering what's going on.
Yuuwaku: "I want to bring peace to someone who is important to me..."

--A villager runs past Jan carrying various streamers.--

Yuuwaku: "That is what I would like to do with my life."
* Jan tries to stop the person.  "Hey!  Excuse me!"
Marcus: "Why are we even talking about this.  I think we have more important 
  things to attend to at the moment."
* Varemi hnnfs.
Villager 1: "Oh, hello.  Welcome to Neo Burg!"
Yuuwaku: "Do we?"
* Varemi folds her arms.
Ambush 6000: *audio playback* Excited Narrator: "Welcome to the jewel of Caldor 
  Isle, Neo Burg!"
Marcus: "Yes!"
Chrissy: "Well, if that's what you want... go for it, and you'll have no 
  regrets.  Or at least I think so." :)
Yuuwaku: "Such as?"
Galen: "Interesting little Burg... to say the least."
Jan: "Um...  My companions and I just arrived here.  Can you tell me what's 
  going on?"
Galen: "Very quaint, if I do say so myself."
* Chrissy pauses to look around.
* Yuuwaku watches the bush's video out of the corner of his eye.
Marcus: "Like figuring out what we are going to do with the Church after us."
* Yuuwaku huffs.
Villager 1: "Of course...  We're getting set for our annual festival.  It's a 
  tradition that supposedly dates back as far as Ancient Burg. We gather to
  sing and dance."
Yuuwaku: "Well if you want to figure that out then why can we not talk about?"
Jan: "Festival.  What for?"
Samantha: "Sing and Dance, huh...?"
Jan: "I mean, what does it celebrate?"
* Marcus shakes his head.
Chrissy: "Singing and dancing?  Sounds like Selene could have fun here."
* Yuuwaku looks at everyone else.
Kodah: "Another festival.  Ducky..."
* Yuuwaku steps over to Marcus.
Villager 1: "Over the years, the original purpose of the festival was lost, 
  sadly...  No one remembers what it's supposed to celebrate, but we still 
  observe it out of tradition."
Galen: "Kodah, that was one quacked up comment."
Yuuwaku: "That is exactly what I have been wanting to talk about this entire 
  time." -_-;
* Jan thinks about that.  "Okay.  Thanks."
Ambush 6000: *audio playback* Narrator: "Though derided at times as possessing 
  the least amount of creature comforts of the major cities of Lunar, the fact 
  remains that this is one of most historically rich places on the entire 
  planet."
* Selene blushes.  "I'm not really that good a singer..."
* Kodah slides a glance at Galen, wondering if he was trying to make a joke.
Villager 1: "You're welcome.  Please, enjoy your stay here."
* Jan nods.
Yuuwaku: "Do you have any suggestions other than 'keep moving'?"
* Villager 1 runs off to complete his errands.
* Chrissy smiles.  "Hey, it may not be my style of singing, but it sure helped 
  out back there."

--There are plenty of other villagers running around.  Oh, and there is also a 
  small tavern in the center of town.--

Ambush 6000: *audio playback* Narrator: "For a mere 100 silver, you can relive 
  legends past as you visit the gravesites of the Dragonmasters, hermetically 
  sealed for your protection!"
* Selene blushes.  "Oh, those songs?  Those are just songs that have been 
  passed down in my family for many years, nothing special..."
* Kodah snaps a look at the Ambush at the mention of Dragonmasters.
Galen: "I think we may find some sort of information at the Dragon's Cave.  I'm 
  willing to bet on it."
Yuuwaku: "Is there any place we can talk privately?"
Yuuwaku: "As a group I mean."
Samantha: "Perhaps an inn room, Yuu?"
Chrissy: "Know any good rock and roll songs?  Hehe."
Yuuwaku: "..."
Selene: "Maybe...  Not sure..."

--There is an inn at the north end of town.--

* Kodah looks at Yuu.
Yuuwaku: "The town might not be such a good idea..."
* Chrissy sighs and wanders around a bit.  "There's an item shop too... watch 
  it be owned by you-know-who."
Yuuwaku: "There are people everywhere, they *could* listen in."
Kodah: "Some place outside of town then?"
Varemi: "..."
Varemi: "Mm."
Ambush 6000: *audio playback* "Visit the Pharos Historical Museum, where you 
  can relive the moment when Lizzareth Pharos demolished the Official Ramus 
  Family Museum with a backhoe!"
Yuuwaku: "But if we were to go somewhere more secluded... for example a 
  dragon's cave."
Yuuwaku: "Do you think people go there often?"
Yuuwaku: "We should ask perhaps..."
* Chrissy hears the bush and sweatdrops.

--There appears to be plenty of villagers to ask questions of.--

Kodah: "Let us check the tavern.  It may have a place that will suit the need 
  for privacy."
* Yuuwaku nods to Kodah.
* Kodah heads off that way.
Yuuwaku: "We should still be careful though..."
* Galen facepalms.  "Is there anything in this world that the Pharos family 
  didn't want to destroy?"
* Jan follows Kodah, having no better ideas.
Chrissy: "I get the feeling poor Ramus had it rough milennia ago.  Testament 
  to business sense, maybe?" ^^;
Ambush 6000: *audio playback* Narrator: "And be sure to catch the annual 
  festival, where the townsfolk sing various anthems devoted to PharosCorp 
  products, such as the legendary 'Hymn to Beanie Babies!'"
* Kodah opens the door to the tavern, looking around for a private place.
Yuuwaku: "Is there anywhere to shop?"
Chrissy: "Okay Bush... let's NOT go there okay."

--There appears to be a secluded enough booth in the back of the tavern.--

Marcus: "Hymn to Beanie Babies, let's get out of here."
Varemi: ".... I never heard of that..."
* Yuuwaku walks over and puts his hand on Kodah's upper arm, peering past him.
* Kodah points out the aforementioned booth to Yuu.

--The tavern itself is fairly empty...  Most of the townsfolk are busy 
  preparing for their festival.--

Kodah: "There."
Galen: "Consider yourself lucky, Varemi."
* Marcus takes a seat the booth.
* Kodah directs the group to the booth.
* Galen takes a seat himself.
* Chrissy actually hangs outside the place for awhile yet, but follows everyone 
  back in eventually.
* Jan takes a seat.
* Samantha sits down at the booth.
* Ambush 6000 cuts to a large panorama of the area where the party entered the 
  village, except filled with large cylindrical buildings and flying 
  pill-shaped pods.

--A waiter stops by the table and leaves a bowl of chips and a few glasses of 
  water.--

* Yuuwaku reluctantly heads to the booth and slides in next to Jan.
* Ambush 6000 quickly switches off the movie as it follows the group.
* Chrissy squeezes in, idly munching on a chip.  "So what's the plan?"
* Selene takes a seat in the booth.

--The chips, oddly enough, seem to restore your HP and MP. :P--

* Kodah looks at Varemi, indicating for her to sit, then does so himself.
Samantha: "... These are good chips." O_o
* Selene sighs contentedly.
* Jan nods, surprised.  "Yeah."
* Varemi sits down... if no one is sitting next to Kodah, she sits next to 
  him.  If someone is, she sits next to that person.
* Samantha takes a few and stuffs them in her mouth... in a fairly polite 
  fashion.  Mmm. ^^
Chrissy: "And this is just the appetizer."
* Galen takes a chip.  "First off, I think we should investigate the dragon 
  cave.  It may not be much of a lead, but then again, that guy at Ancient 
  Saith said it was used as a mine back in the days of the Nephar War."
* Yuuwaku eats one of the chips tentatively.
Yuuwaku: "I think we need to go over what has happened."
* Ambush 6000 hops into Yuuwaku's lap and deflates into its leaf pile form.
* Selene eats a chip and sips a little water.
Kodah: "Agreed."
* Yuuwaku pets the bush.
Marcus: "Yes, but what can we find in the cave that will help us with the 
  Church?"
Yuuwaku: "Just so we can try to sort out some problems."
* Chrissy has a few more.  "Maybe a dragon with a really big grudge?" ^^;
Selene: "There's also the supposedly haunted Weird Woods..."
* Selene shivers a bit, not particularly wanting to go there...
* Yuuwaku turns to Selene.
Galen: "Marcus, that cave used to be home to the white dragon.  If anything, 
  the dragon could have left something behind with information that could, 
  somehow, be useful to us."
Yuuwaku: "Selene... why are you in trouble with the Church?  Why do they think 
  you are a Destroyer?"
Selene: "I don't know...  I remember when I was younger...  I was born in 
  Takkar..."
Samantha: "Takkar, huh?"
* Yuuwaku nods for her to continue.
Chrissy: "I wish I knew more about Lunar other than just the names of the 
  cities around."
* Kodah listens carefully, trying not to miss anything.
Selene: "When I was eleven, that was about five years ago, the armies of the 
  Church stormed the village and took away my parents...  A neighbor took me 
  away in the middle of the night during the mayhem.  I never saw them 
  since..."
* Varemi listens too, wondering if she should add anything. =b
Chrissy: "Woah, that's messed up...  I'm so sorry Selene..."
* Yuuwaku narrows his eyes and frowns lightly.
* Samantha frowns.
* Selene holds back a tear.
* Kodah considers things.
Selene: "The next day, I was taken to a cave in the Katarina Zone...  I don't 
  remember it all that well, except that it was very damp inside..."
Yuuwaku: "Then?"
Galen: "Katarina Zone...  East or West?"
* Varemi makes a distinct mental note...
Selene: "Not too far from Horam..."
Chrissy: "What a big bunch of babies those Church goons are.  An army just to 
  grab a kid?  I'm liking them less and less."
Varemi: (Blue... ... Heh.)
Yuuwaku: "What happened there?"
Galen: "Join the club, Chrissy."
Selene: "In that cave, I was introduced to a woman named Teal...  She said that 
   she had tried to warn my family about the Church's plans and apologized for 
  being too late to save my parents..."
Chrissy: "I'm a charter member now, Galen... haha." ^_^
Samantha: "Did she tell you what the Church's plans ARE?"
Chrissy: "Teal?  That's a pretty exotic name...."
* Varemi slumps down subtly but doesn't have much of an expression.  It's 
  possible she's just making herself comfortable.
Selene: "Teal raised me for the next few years, but sometimes she'd leave me in 
  various safe houses when she had other work to do..."
Kodah: "..."
Galen: "Teal... that name sounds familiar..."
Yuuwaku: "Do you know much about her?"
Chrissy: "That how you bumped into Tianna?"
Varemi: o O (I know that name... Never would know from looks.)
Selene: "Tianna claimed she was Teal's twin sister...  So I trusted her..."
Chrissy: "BDT's always been into charities, that much I know."
Chrissy: "Oh really?"
Yuuwaku: "And Tianna owns BDT?"
Galen: "Was there ever anything you thought strange about Tianna, or Teal, 
  Selene?"
Selene: "Unfortunately, neither Teal nor Tianna told me why the Church wanted 
  me.  When I asked, they said that it was better I didn't know, for now..."
Selene: "Well, now that I mention it...  Teal never did seem to age..."
Chrissy: "Well, she did say she was the CEO... and just look at all the rides 
  she'd had with her."
* Kodah considers this carefully.
Selene: "I lived with her for almost five years, and she never looked a day 
  older."
Yuuwaku: "The Church has gone through a lot of trouble to find you."
* Selene nods.
Samantha: "Odd..."
Yuuwaku: "You are obviously a threat to them... perhaps you are a Destroyer, at 
  least to them."
Chrissy: "Maybe BDT's found out how to slow the aging process down.  It 
  wouldn't surprise me..." ^_^
Yuuwaku: "Why would that be?"
Yuuwaku: "Why would a Church fear a girl?"
Selene: "Teal did mention that I was potentially very dangerous to the Church, 
  but would never say why..."
Galen: "And that ungodly powerful astral aura of Tianna's?  I'm beginning to 
  put two and two together."
Varemi: "... Mm."
* Jan just ponders all of that.
Chrissy: "Well, it obviously isn't over the color of her hair."
Yuuwaku: "They did not seek to convert you?  Only to destroy you?"
* Varemi looks a little edgy suddenly and watches people carefully, hoping this 
  conversation won't end in too much nervousness.
Selene: "Yes, Yuuwaku..."
Yuuwaku: "Then your existence is a threat to them."
Chrissy: "That Enyo sure seemed big on the 'destroy' part... ugh."
* Selene tears up a little...  "But... I don't know WHY..."
* Kodah chews on a few chips, puzzling things out.
Samantha: "... I just wonder why..."
Galen: "Selene, did you notice anything that seemed oddly similar about Tianna 
  and Teal, besides the way they looked?"
Selene: "Oh, Teal did also say that the Four Heroes and the Dragonmaster 
  weren't really representatives of the Dragons..."
Jan: "Easy...  Crying won't do anything."
* Yuuwaku reaches over and brushes her cheek slightly.
Yuuwaku: "Don't worry."
Selene: "I don't know how she would know that..."
Yuuwaku: "And you can cry if it will make you feel better."
Samantha: "They're not?"
Chrissy: "Hey, Selene... it's okay... we're not going to let those dopes get 
  near you."
Selene: "Thank you..."
* Varemi idly wonders if she should grab a chip.
Samantha: "... After what happened back with Enyo... I'm not surprised 
  anymore."
* Kodah notes Varemi's indecision and passes her some.
Yuuwaku: "If the Four Heroes and Dragonmaster are not really representatives of 
  the dragon, then perhaps the Church is not really representative of the 
  goddess?"
Selene: "No...  Teal said they were frauds..."
Kodah: "To what end?"
* Selene sighs softly...
* Varemi nods a bit to Kodah and accepts one.  Let's her eyes linger on Kodah 
  for some other reason, then watches Selene intently.
Yuuwaku: "Then you proof their illegitimacy by existing."
Chrissy: "Frauds...?"
Selene: "But how?  I'm just an ordinary girl..."
* Chrissy pulls out the rumpled paper with their signatures on it.
* Varemi hehs.
* Varemi remembers something someone told her once...
Selene: "Teal never explained why or how...  She just said she had it on 'good 
  authority.'"
Yuuwaku: "If only the Church thought you were exceptional, they might be crazy, 
  but Teal and Tianna did as well."
Samantha: "You're an ordinary girl who knows a bit too much, unfortunately."

Marcus: "Many people are much more than they seem, Selene."
Selene: "But I know nothing..."
* Chrissy stares at it a minute.
Selene: "I've been on the run for five years...  I'm just... so... tired of 
  it..."
* Chrissy begins to tear it up.  "I'm giving my friend a good lecture when I 
  get home about choosing her role models better!"
Galen: "Well, they seem to think that your existence is a threat... and if Teal 
  herself is involved, then something is definitely up with the church."
Selene: "What's so special about Teal?"
* Yuuwaku smiles to Selene sadly.
* Kodah slides a glance at Galen.
* Varemi gets ready for it.
Varemi: o O (Here it comes.. -_-;)
Yuuwaku: "Then I suppose there is only one thing for you to do..."
Marcus: "This is maddening.  You have the Church in one corner with its follow 
  us or die routine.  Then you have the Neo-Pharosians in the other corner who 
  seem to be doing the right thing, but they have connections to a group in the 
  past that was anything but good."
Galen: "Well, according to my reading... this is all hearsay from books older 
  than any of us.  There's been one named Teal involved in numerous occurances 
  since Unification War..."
* Chrissy throws it across the room, and it thunks into a wastebasket.  "Trash, 
  that's all those Church guys are... sticking their nose into everything..."
* Varemi looks like something is on the tip of her tongue, but shuts herself 
  up.
Selene: "Oh...  It can't be her...  It must be a coincidence..."
Yuuwaku: "As long as the Church continues to exist, they will continue to hunt 
  you and the rest of us down."
Galen: "the last occurance I read of her was in the Nephar War... but that was 
  2500 years ago."
Marcus: "Then you the have 'people' like this Teal and Tianna who seem to have 
  their own agenda standing the the third corner."
Yuuwaku: "That leaves us with three options, submit and die, run forever, or 
  destroy them first."
Chrissy: "Do I look like the type to give up?"
* Samantha rests her head in her hands.
* Selene bows her head, sniffling a little from her near crying...
Yuuwaku: "Irony being that you probably would not have become a Destroyer had 
  they not attacked you."
* Kodah continues to listen.
Yuuwaku: "It's better not to hold it in Selene."
* Jan starts feeling restless.
Galen: "I need to find some place where I can find a library.... and the oldest 
  is in Vane..."
Yuuwaku: "But... perhaps crying here and making a scene is not the best idea."
* Yuuwaku looks around the tavern.
* Selene nods weakly...
* Chrissy offers Selene a shoulder to lean on if she needs it.  "I don't know 
  what'll happen in the future, but you're alright with me.  I really don't 
  care what those blowhards think."
* Selene perks up a bit...  "Thanks, Chrissy..."
Marcus: "Stop crying!  The Church obviously fears you otherwise they wouldn't 
  be after.  There is great power in the that knowledge.  If I were you, I 
  would seek to find out who you really are."
Kodah: "..."
* Galen gives Selene a grin.  "Besides, I never liked the church anyway.  Never 
  saw the need for them."
Varemi: "..."
Selene: "But... but...  Where do I begin?"
Yuuwaku: "We begin with Tianna."
Chrissy: "Why don't we go ask Tianna?"
* Jan taps Yuuwaku.  "Excuse me.  Could you slid out of the booth so I can get 
  out?  I'm going to have a look around town while you guys talk."
Yuuwaku: "No..."
Galen: "Good idea..."
Yuuwaku: "The dragons."
Yuuwaku: "Tianna won't give a straight answer"
Chrissy: "I mean, she is giving us a lift to Meribia."
Yuuwaku: "If they really are not legitimate, we should ask a dragon!"
Galen: "The dragons..."
* Yuuwaku slides out a little for Jan.
Galen: "Wait... there's a dragon cave here on Caldor."
Jan: "Thanks."
* Kodah crushes the chip in his hand before he's able to consume it.
* Jan stretches and strolls out of the tavern.
Chrissy: "You think there's a dragon down there?"
Galen: "Could be."
* Yuuwaku 's eyes shift over to Kodah.
Chrissy: "I dunno... but it's worth a shot I guess."
Marcus: "Always with the dragons it seems.  Well, I guess we have little choice 
  in the matter."
Galen: "If the heroes aren't representative of the dragons, like Teal said, 
  then I'd guess the dragons have taken refuge in the caves here on Lunar, 
  instead of the Blue Star."
Samantha: "You okay, Kodah?  You seem really tense..."
Chrissy: "I just wish you guys would trust Tianna a little more... she probably 
  could tell us about Teal a lot more than a dragon could." ^^;
* Varemi is still slouched down a bit.
Kodah: . o O (Dragons... here...)
Kodah: "Dragons are... of interest to me."
Yuuwaku: "Really Kodah?"
Samantha: "How come?"
* Selene looks at Kodah..."
Kodah: "... I believe I saw one once"
* Varemi shifty-eyes around.
* Samantha's eyes widen, "Seriously!?"
Selene: "Really?  I had wished since I was tiny to see a dragon one day..."
Chrissy: "Kodah.... you mean they really do exist?"
* Yuuwaku has not sat back down, he looks over at Varemi.
Kodah: "I'm not certain.  I don't know exactly what I saw."
Chrissy: "Not some big word everyone throws around to impress ya?"
* Varemi sits back up again and leans on her hand with her hair entangled in 
  it, elbow on the table."
* Galen nudges Chrissy.  "Would you mind letting me out for a minute?"
Chrissy: "Oh... heh.  Sure, Galen."
* Chrissy edges out, standing and stretching.
* Varemi bites on an edge of her shiny blue lip which never seems to fade to a 
  normal color.
* Selene picks a napkin up off the table and uses it to dry her tears...
* Jan wanders about town, watching the festival preparations.
Yuuwaku: "Varemi?  Is something bothering you?"
Varemi: "... No..."
Chrissy: "I bet a dragon would know a lot about a few things of history... 
  mmm."
* Galen gets out, stretches and pats Varemi on the shoulder.  "You okay?"
* Kodah slides a glance at Varemi, but says nothing.

--There is a large stage that has been built at the far east end of the town.
  Various streamers have been placed all over it.--

Varemi: "A lot of people know a few things about history."
* Jan heads over there.
Selene: "I'm sorry, Varemi...  I didn't realize..."
Stageworker: "Okay...  Careful with those lights!  If you break them, you buy 
  them!"
Chrissy: "Well, knowing it and living it are two different things, I'd 
  think..."
Selene: "I guess you'd probably know more about history than the rest of us..."
* Jan hesitates when he realizes that the message is directed at him, then 
  nods a moment later.  "I will!"
Varemi: "... Not sure if i do."
* Samantha hmms.
Varemi: "I assumed that since you all are much older than me and from this time 
  period..."
Stageworker: "Thanks!  Those things are hard to come by around here.  Lucky for 
  us that punk with the motorcycle got some for us..."
Jan: "Punk with the motorcycle?  I heard something about that guy earlier.  Who 
  is he?"
Selene: "But you're from the distant past, aren't you?  I mean...  Sorry...  I 
  guess I'm prying too much."
Galen: "It seems the church is after Varemi and Selene... so we'll have to stay 
  on our guard."
Chrissy: "Heh, well I'm only nineteen..." ^^;
Galen: "Twenty-three here."
Chrissy: "But I guess this place is strange to you, isn't it?"
Marcus: "I feel old, I'm twenty-eight."
Varemi: "I might be..... five?"
Kodah: "Excuse me?"
Stageworker: "Not sure.  He said his name was 'Tony,' and he was going to 
  practice his martial arts by beating up the various zombies and whatnot that 
  live in the Weird Woods.  He wears his long navy blue hair in a ponytail and 
  cruises around wearing a leather jacket and bandanna on that motorcycle of 
  his."
* Kodah stands up and heads out the door.
* Varemi moves out for Kodah.
Samantha: ^^; "I'll keep my age to myself, thanks..."
Jan: "Zombies...  Most people wouldn't choose to practice on those.  Are there 
  really zombies in the Weird Woods?"
Chrissy: "Five?  Well so much for a nice long childhood..." ^^;
Samantha: . o O ( I feel way too young...^^ )
Yuuwaku: "I don't know how old I am."
Yuuwaku: "Older than eight." ^_^
Yuuwaku: "Maybe fifteen?"
Stageworker: "The place supposedly has had all sorts of creepy things running 
  around in it for thousands of years...  I wouldn't be surprised, though I've 
  never been there myself..."
* Marcus gets out the booth and looks around the tavern.
Jan: "Hm."
* Yuuwaku watches Kodah leave and looks back at the rest of the group.
Galen: "Marcus, you and I need to talk."
* Kodah walks around the town for a while, considering what he's learned.
Marcus: "About what?"
Yuuwaku: "Do you think there is a place here that would let me stay and 
  meditate... somewhere private?" ^_^;;
* Varemi folds her arms and leans back again. This time, not slouching into her 
  seat.  She was built so elegantly that slouching is an effort.
Galen: "A bunch of things.  But mostly about what's going on around us."
Chrissy: "Varemi, just why did you get sealed up like that anyway?"
Varemi: "... Out of hope."
* Jan keeps looking around the stage, avoiding disturbing anything.
Varemi: "You see.... if this information will help you, I'll give you it."
Galen: "And a few hunches I have about certain people..."
Marcus: "I'm just along for the ride here.  The moment I can get off, I'm 
  gone."
Yuuwaku: "Yours?"
* Varemi looks to see just how private this place is and just how interested 
  these people are in hearing some stupid stuff about her bogus life."

--One of the stagehands puts up a poster of the legendary singer, Zigfried 
  Brandl, on the back of the stage... :P--

Marcus: "I don't want to get involved in politics and revolutions."
* Chrissy looks confused. "Hope?"
Galen: "You think I do, Marcus?  We really have no choice here.  The Church 
  knows what we look like.  They'll hunt us down to the ends of the earth, or 
  Lunar or whatever world we're on."
Varemi: "Yes. Hope that maybe, just maybe, I wouldn't awaken to the face of a 
  PHAROS." ;b  *Her tone is sour and sarcastic. Very mature considering she's 
  five*
Chrissy: "Well you didn't awaken to him technically..."
* Varemi smirks.  "I'm telling you this to give you another dimension in who 
  you should ask for what."
Chrissy: "But I saw they way you looked when you heard about the Neos."
Yuuwaku: "A Pharos?"
Varemi: "One time period I was in was the time period where there was a certain 
  Dr. Lizzereth Olivia Pharos."
Varemi: "I believe your bush knows of her."
Yuuwaku: "What other Pharos did you know?"
Varemi: "One many many years before her."
* Samantha listens quietly.  She does that a lot. ^^
Varemi: "Dr. Zachary Oliver Pharos."
Yuuwaku: "Oh."
Yuuwaku: "I think Galen mentioned both of them when I asked about Pharos."
* Varemi says this with a very big finality."
* Galen turns his head at the mention of Dr. Zachary Pharos."
Chrissy: "Wait... you mean..."
Yuuwaku: "Who created you?"
Galen: "You mean...  The Dark Pharaoh."
* Varemi folds her arms over her skimpy outfit again, her runes slightly 
  showing.
Kodah: . o O (This is no longer a coincidence.  I know that now.)
* Marcus walks away from Galen and starts looking at a plaque in the tavern 
  listing all of the Dragonmasters.
Varemi: "I was created in a lab of Dr. Z. O. Pharos."
Varemi: "By a man who worked there, primarily.  But I was created for 
  HIM."
Yuuwaku: "He must have had strange taste."
Yuuwaku: "What did you do?"
Galen: "Varemi, during what time period?"
* Chrissy winces.  "Created... for him?  Oh god, what a jerk."
* Samantha looks at Varemi in sympathy.

--The listing starts with Dyne, then Alex, then Lou, then Alex II, then Alys, 
  then Meredith...--

Galen: "Pharos lived during two different time periods...  These are well 
  documented.  One was the Unification War... the second was the Nephar War."
* Chrissy turns up her nose.  "There's no way I'd go using technology for 
  something like that!"
* Marcus mutters, "Hmm . . . it doesn't list Earendil the One-Armed."
Yuuwaku: "Like what?"
* Varemi wonders which question to answer first...

--The list apparently doesn't go back very far.--

Kodah: . o O (How does this all piece together?)
Chrissy: "Maybe it serves him right that he kicked the bucket."
Varemi: "Time period '1000 A.U.'"
Galen: "Yeah... according to records... in a journal kept by the White Knight 
  of the Nephar War, there wasn't a trace of Pharos left after he was defeated 
  during the Nephar War."
* Kodah finds an unused barrel and sits down to think.
Varemi: "Created for very LITTLE."
Yuuwaku: "Oh."
Chrissy: "But think of it this way, Varemi... you're an independent woman now. 
  If the Church wasn't so dumb, anyway."
Yuuwaku: "Well, I guess it's better than being created for something huge." ^_^
Galen: "I won't ask what then, Varemi."
Yuuwaku: "Much easier to deal with."
* Kodah gives up for the moment, and decides to explore the town.
Varemi: "Huhh.  Independent."
