--It is morning after spending another night as Sephina's house guests...--

* Selene gets up, stretches, yawns, and goes to wash up.
* Galen has spent the entire night, alone with his thoughts.
* Kodah didn't sleepy much at all, and doesn't join the group for some time.
* Selene waves to Galen as she heads to the bathroom.
* Yuuwaku is in the kitchen scrambling eggs.
* Galen doesn't notice Selene at all.
* Samantha is also in the kitchen, partaking in some of Sephina's glorious
  muffins!
* Yuuwaku has been cooking eggs for some time now.
* Jan gets up a little earlier today than he had the day before and joins the
  others in the kitchen.
* Marcus grabs some food from the kitchen and ignores the others.
* Ambush 6000 trundles with its stalk slouching, having spent the whole night
  unsuccessfully performing a mating ritual with one of Sephina's ficus trees.
* Selene joins the group in the kitchen, all squeaky clean from her morning
  bath.
* Galen stays away from the party.  It's almost apparent that he just wants to
  be left alone for a while.
* Sephina is somewhere trying to get in contact with Teal.
* Chrissy doesn't come for breakfast right away, fiddling with a few new parts
  she dug up, attempting to do some data recovery on that disc she had left
  laying untouched last time...
* Teal, wherever she is, finally acknowledges Sephina's contacting her.
* Yuuwaku stops cooking, turns off the stove and looks around the kitchen for
  Samantha.
* Samantha looks up from her muffin, "Mm?"
* Yuuwaku holds up the frying pan.
Yuuwaku: "Eggs?" ^_^;
Selene: *sniff* *sniff* "Are those scrambled eggs?  They really smell good!"
Yuuwaku: "They're for everyone."
Galen: .oO(Where can I find a source of power to kill Zissel?  It appears that 
  attacks from the astral plane won't work... since his astral body is
  nonexistent on this world.)
* Ambush 6000 takes a place near the wall and compresses itself a bit.
* Varemi walks by peoples' doors and sees who's up and who's sleeping where,
  out of curiosity.
* Samantha nods, "Eggs!" ^^
* Yuuwaku sets them on the table.

--Sephina makes some quality muffins, by the way.--

Yuuwaku: "Do you think we should get ready to leave soon?"
* Jan chows on a muffin.
* Selene picks up a muffin as well as some of Yuuwaku's eggs.
Samantha: "Definitely, but you can't go anywhere on an empty stomach." :)
Galen: .oO(Can this crimson magic do the trick?  Just too many unanswered
  questions.)
* Samantha digs into the eggs.
Yuuwaku: "Ah, yes but..."
* Chrissy hmms a bit and slings a few cables over her shoulder, picking out a
  keyboard and makeshift screen, typing in a few things...
Yuuwaku: "Everyone will be okay to go, right?"
Samantha: "I think so.  Why?"
Yuuwaku: "Some people had it hard yesterday." ^^;
Selene: "Where will we go?"
* Samantha nods, "True..." :/
Galen: .oO(And the lich crown... can its power be destroyed by a spirit
  attack?)
Yuuwaku: "To Raculi, I think."
Yuuwaku: "But..."
Selene: "But what?"
Yuuwaku: "A lot of people in the party are very easily overcome by emotion." ^^;
Yuuwaku: "Well, myself included but..."
Yuuwaku: "I wonder if they'll still want to go this way..."
* Selene nods.
Selene: "If it wasn't for me, most of you probably wouldn't be in this mess."
* Chrissy whistles some of that song the bush played awhile before.
* Varemi wanders into the kitchen and quietly, numbly takes a seat.
Yuuwaku: "I don't know Selene."
Galen: .oO(It's a long shot, and one I don't want to have to use, but if push
  comes to shove, I'll look for an even stronger source of dark power than
  Shadowfall.)
Jan: "It's not your fault, Selene.  We did what we thought we should."
Yuuwaku: "After yesterday, it seems like everything is very connected."
* Marcus chuckles for second and steps out of the kitchen.
* Chrissy grumbles loudly out into the hallway.  "Goddess darnit, this girl is
  good!"
Selene: "I know... but...  I mean, you got caught in this mess by coming along
  with me to Tijuana..."
* Yuuwaku narrows his eyes as Marcus leaves.
Yuuwaku: "Ano yatsu..."
* Chrissy taps her chin, and sets her stuff down, stretching, then going into
  the kitchen, looking a bit defeated.
Yuuwaku: "Well, for me, it doesn't matter much where I go."
Yuuwaku: "And I think many of the others would have ended up fighting this
  battle on some level either way."
Selene: "Wherever you guys go, I'm with you...  I have nowhere else..."
Yuuwaku: "I'm worried about having you with us."
Yuuwaku: "I'm starting to think it may not be safe."
* Chrissy bumps into Marcus on his way out.  "Heh, whoops.  Wasn't looking in
  front of me." ^^;
Samantha: "Who else can she go to, Yuu?"
Selene: "Safe or not, I'm in this just as much as you are!"
Marcus: "Pardon me."
* Yuuwaku smiles darkly.
Yuuwaku: "Well, we could make it safe."
* Yuuwaku suddenly laughs. ^^;
Selene: "What's so funny, Yuu?" :)
Yuuwaku: "Sorry, I just thought of something funny." ^^;
Chrissy: "S'ok, Marcus.  Where you off to?"
Selene: "Well, tell us!"
Marcus: "Oh, just looking around.  Have you seen Kodah?"
* Galen walks past Marcus and Chrissy, paying them no mind.
Yuuwaku: "I don't trust Marcus."
Chrissy: "Actually, that's a good question...  I think he went somewhere quiet
  after everything to think. I haven't seen him..."
Yuuwaku: "I think it'd be safer if he was dead."
Samantha: "Ah, look folks, Galen is angsting again.  Great." :p
Yuuwaku: "But I guess that's a little extreme, huh?" ^^;
* Samantha takes a swig of juice and plunks it down.
Yuuwaku: "Hey, don't be so hard on Galen." :(
Marcus: "Well, I'll keep looking then."
Selene: "Marcus may be a bit creepy, but I think killing him may be a bit
  much..."
Samantha: "Yeah, I can't really blame him this time."
* Galen gives Sam a "leave me the hell alone" look.
* Samantha tries not to care. :p She's bitter.
* Marcus heads back to the sleeping quarters.
* Selene goes off to try to console Galen.
Yuuwaku: "It's the safest way to ensure our own safety."
* Galen just finds a place and sits there...
Selene: "Galen..."
* Jan pretends not to see all this and just downs some orange juice.
Galen: "Yeah?"
* Chrissy looks at Galen go by, sighing, taking a seat as well.
Selene: "I know yesterday was rough for you, but...  I don't think sitting here 
  by yourself will help things any."
Yuuwaku: "But it's alright."
Galen: "I don't care, Selene.  I've got too much to consider here... and
  getting involved in this conversation isn't getting that done."
* Marcus knocks on Kodah's door.
Yuuwaku: "Still, don't say I didn't warn you."
Selene: "But what are you considering?"
Kodah: *from inside* "It's open."
Galen: "Trying to figure out where I might be able to find a source of power
  that can kill Zissel."
Selene: "Maybe you're having such a hard time because, despite your studying,
  you just never ran across one?"
* Varemi is eating a muffin and looking around.
* Marcus steps into the room, "I have something to say to you, and then I'll
  leave the matter alone for you to pursue it."
* Yuuwaku looks at Varemi eating alone... frowns...
* Yuuwaku shakes it off.
* Chrissy fills her stomach with Sephina's wonderful breakfast goodies,
  mumbling with her mouth full, "Hey, ever think of trying to make one
  yourself?"
Jan: "We'll get him, Galen.  Finding a new source of power might not be it
  though."
* Kodah is currently curled up in a little ball on the bed, still under the
  covers.
Galen: "Selene, right now I just don't care where I get it from, how many dark
  lords I have to call on, or what happens to me in the process, as long as
  Zissel and Shadowfall are destroyed."
Kodah: "Hmm... um... okay?"
Yuuwaku: "I'm sure we'll find a way to destroy them Galen.  It'll probably fall 
  right into our laps."
Selene: "But weren't they defeated by those heroes 2,500 years ago?  Maybe we
  can just somehow learn how they did it?"
Galen: "They just managed to seal up Shadowfall."
Marcus: "Accept what you are.  Don't question it.  Don't whine, 'Why me?'"
Galen: "If we don't destroy him, someone will just summon him again."
Yuuwaku: "We'll destroy him completely Galen."
Chrissy: "If that's right, then we can surely find a better way." ^_^
Marcus: "And if you don't know yet, I suggest you hurry up and find out."
* Samantha gulps down her breakfast, suddenly feeling uneasy.
Chrissy: "You learn from the past so you can do things better."
Selene: "First things first...  Let's just worry about Zissel...  I mean, for
  all we know Shadowfall may have been destroyed already and his summons could
  be useless.  However, even without Shadowfall, Zissel is quite dangerous."
Samantha: . o O ( And why is no one COMMENTING he's planning on summoning dark
  gods to help him now?  Two wrongs don't make a right... )
Yuuwaku: "Anyway, if we're lucky, we can get the goddess to do it for us."
Galen: "It won't work, Yuu."
* Chrissy munches.  "And hey Galen, let's not have you going to more dark gods
  for help... ain't we have our hands full with enough of those blokes?" ^^
Yuuwaku: "She probably wouldn't do it, you're right."
Yuuwaku: "Goddesses tend to be rather useless, don't they?" ^^;
Jan: "Yeah."
Yuuwaku: "..."
Selene: "I don't know, I'm just a small-town girl from Takkar, but I think that 
  if we can wipe out Zissel, that will at least buy us more time...  As long as 
  Shadowfall is sealed, we have all the time we need to find a way to destroy
  him for good."
Yuuwaku: "Unless we could harness her power to our will." ;)
Yuuwaku: "That was a joke." ^^;
Yuuwaku: "Not in very good taste..." ^^;
* Kodah stirs a bit, and then sits up finally.
Galen: "That won't work either, Yuu.  White magic, calling on the gods for
  power, is primarily for healing or exorcism."
Selene: "It may be safer just to keep him sealed up...  I mean, we'd need to
  release him to get at him, and if we fail..."
Yuuwaku: "But if we could get the Goddess to do the fighting herself."
Yuuwaku: "Not calling on her mind you."
* Jan takes another drink of OJ and mutters under his breath, "With great power 
  comes great responsibility."
Kodah: "That's it?"
Galen: "Right, Yuu... using the goddess to do our work... not something I'm
  very keen on."
Jan: . o O (I don't think Galen has it.)
Yuuwaku: "It shouldn't be."
Yuuwaku: "Only villains do things like that."
* Selene hmphs and storms off back to the kitchen.
Galen: "I'll figure it out on my own.  Don't think you have to help me, okay?"
* Chrissy rubs her head. "I don't know if I like the way this is going...
  remember Lucia's dancing to someone else's beat already here.  One thing at a
  time."
* Selene grabs a cup of juice and downs it all, looking quite angry.
Yuuwaku: "Chrissy, I'm not being serious at all here." ^^;
Galen: "Either way, we do have our hands full."
Yuuwaku: "If we did what I'm suggesting, we'd probably have the dragons after
  *us.*"
Galen: "Between Zissel and Ares, we're surrounded by enemies from all sides."
Yuuwaku: "Then we should get to work."
Chrissy: "Heh... yeah...  REAL dragons.  Speaking of which!"
Selene: "Of all the self-centered...  I mean...  Yeah he's upset, but sitting
  around on his butt isn't gonna do anything about it..."
Yuuwaku: "So when everyone's finished eating, we're off to Raculi."
* Marcus starts to leave Kodah's room but turns around one last time, "Oh, one
  more thing.  Once you do accept it, don't be arrogant about it.  That'll get
  you killed."
Chrissy: "Are we still going to be digging up dirt on Ares in Raculi?"
Galen: "Works for me."
* Marcus leaves and heads back for the kitchen.
* Selene looks quite pissed, which is unusual for her usually sunshiney
  demeanor.
Yuuwaku: "I do believe so."
* Yuuwaku walks over to Selene.
Galen: "I also think we should check out Serak Palace... there could be a few
  clues there, too."
Yuuwaku: "I've never seen you upset before."
Selene: "I was trying to help him...  Offer what little advice I can... and he
  just blew me, and the rest of you off..."
* Kodah grips the bed sheets very tightly.
Yuuwaku: "Well, he needs a little time I think."
Selene: "Maybe, but...  He didn't have to be so rude about it."
* Chrissy grins. "Good... maybe I'll find out a weakness to those dragons!  I'm
  itching to make him look like a fool next time he does that summoning thing."
Yuuwaku: "Everyone else here is mopey constantly over things that happened to
  years and years ago."
Yuuwaku: "So we can give him a day, ne?" ^_^
Selene: "Hah!  Look at me, I've been an orphan since I can't even remember
  when...  You don't see me complaining...  I just got my life together and
  kept going!"
Yuuwaku: "I know Selene."
Selene: "Yuuwaku, do you think we really have a chance?"
Yuuwaku: "Everyone has a hard life."
* Kodah grinds his teeth together, and ends up ripping the blanket.
Yuuwaku: "We'll win Selene."
* Marcus walks into the kitchen and gets some coffee.
* Chrissy look over to Selene raising her voice.
Yuuwaku: "There's not much fear of that in my heart." ^_^
Yuuwaku: "It's just the getting there that will be hard." ^^;
Galen: "Anyway, I'm going to go to the garden for a while.  I need to attune
  myself to the astral plane for a while.. see what I can find out through
  astral projection."
Selene: "Are you sure?  I mean...  We have enough infighting amongst ourselves,
  let alone when it comes to Zissel and Ares."
Yuuwaku: "But I think this group will pull together eventually."
Selene: "I wish I was as confident as you were..."
Yuuwaku: "Alright Galen. I'll come find you when we're ready to go, alright?"
Chrissy: "Hey, are you doubting things?"
* Ambush 6000 expands itself and hops over to Yuuwaku.
* Yuuwaku frowns at Varemi eating alone again
Chrissy: "Come on, I'm here. We'll show those people who not to mess with." ^_^
Selene: "Just look at us, Chrissy..."
* Yuuwaku walks over to the sink, pours some water in a cup and then pours it
  on the bush.
* Galen turns and heads out of the kitchen to the garden.  "No, I'll know when
  you're ready."
Selene: "How can we do that when we're always arguing amongst ourselves?"
* Kodah throws off the ruined blankets and gets dressed.
Yuuwaku: "Okay Galen." ^_^
Ambush 6000: *swishwishwish...*
* Yuuwaku does a quick head count in the kitchen.
* Selene sighs with frustration.
Yuuwaku: "Don't worry Selene.  And it's okay to be frustrated too." ^_^
* Chrissy lowers her voice some.  "Hey... no one said a powerful weapon was
  built in a day...  Everything has it's kinks you work out in time..."
* Galen finds a quiet spot in the garden and lies on the ground.  He attunes
  his spirit with the energies of the astral plane and projects his spirit onto 
  the spirit world.
Yuuwaku: "I'm going to go see if Kodah is up."
* Kodah swears under his breath as he gets ready.
Yuuwaku: "And umm..."
Marcus: "Don't bother, I think he'll be here soon."
Yuuwaku: "Everyone eat and then get ready so we can have an early start."
Yuuwaku: "Oh?"
Selene: "Yeah, but Chrissy, generally the parts of that weapon aren't at each
 other's throats...  I mean, half of you don't trust Marcus, the other half
 doesn't trust Galen...  Marcus seems to hate all of us and doesn't even want
 to be here...  and everyone seems to be wrapped up with their own little
 agendas..."
Yuuwaku: "Is he up?"
* Selene holds her head in her hands.
Yuuwaku: "I don't know why people don't trust Galen." O_o
* Ambush 6000 slowly makes a picture of the group materialize on one of the
  walls.  First an image of the group appears, then a heart.  The images
  alternate a few times and then disappear.
Yuuwaku: "And I only don't trust Marcus because he hates all of us." ^^;
Marcus: "Oh, I wouldn't say I hate all of you, but I admit that I have my own
  agenda.  And for the moment, my goals coincide with yours."
* Marcus smiles mockingly.
Selene: "Yeah, I mean...  Galen can be kind of loud, and he is a mega-bookworm, 
  so he's always spouting random things he read somewhere, but he's a good
  guy...  I can tell."
Yuuwaku: "When his goals stop coinciding with ours, he'll easily stab us all in
  the back without a second thought."
* Chrissy gets up, putting a diminutive arm around the blue haired girl.  "Hey,
  I believe in us.  We'll come together.  I mean, think how it was at the
  beginning..."
Selene: *to Marcus* "You're not helping the situation any."
Yuuwaku: "Would it be better if he lied?" :\
Selene: *to Chrissy* "I hope so..."
Chrissy: "We were just all running like a pack of scared animals away from a
  bully.  Now we actually have a chance to do something!"
Selene: "Marcus, just what are your goals?"
Marcus: "I am assisting you as much as I am able."
* Selene stands up straight, giving Marcus her toughest,
  take-no-crap-from-anyone look.
Selene: "But why?"
* Kodah exits his room, packed and ready to go, and makes to the kitchen.
* Selene stares Marcus down as she waits for an answer.
Marcus: "I'll tell you this, when I started out with this group, I pretty
  despised the Goddess and the Dragons."
Selene: "And now?"
* Chrissy looks towards Marcus, listening.
Marcus: "I thought that they were reason that people were always so weak and
  not self-sufficient."
* Selene nods, still scowling slightly.
Yuuwaku: "People are weak and self-sufficient on their own." ^_^
* Marcus looks at Yuu, "On that thing  I agree. I figured out that even with
  the Goddess and the Dragons gone, people would just create something else to
  take its place."
Marcus: "Even if it exists only in their minds."
* Kodah plops down next to Varemi and proceeds to eat whatever's handy.
Yuuwaku: "That's why heroes exist though, Marcus.  Because the general public
  wouldn't do anything."
* Chrissy frowns, "Hey... what am I chopped liver?" ;_;
* Varemi gives Kodah an appreciating look, offers him a muffin.
Marcus: "So why am I still with you?"
* Galen awakens from his state of astral projection and wanders back in with
  the group.
Kodah: *between bites* "Fanks." *accepts the muffin*
* Yuuwaku smiles at Varemi and Kodah. ^_^
Selene: "That's what I want to know, Marcus.  I'm surprised you didn't run off
  with Ares."
Selene: "Or at least offer to join him."
Galen: "Well, all's quiet on the astral front... at least."
Marcus: "Ares is an idiot."
Chrissy: "I think I have a little more faith in Marcus than that... he's no
  fool." ;P
Galen: "That Dragon was just an illusion..."
Selene: "Then can you promise me one thing?"
Yuuwaku: "He's fairly easily deceived though."
Yuuwaku: "At least, when he's not expecting to be."
* Selene waits for an answer from Marcus.
* Sephina walks down the hall.
Marcus: "I'm still here because people are still worth saving even if they are
  weak, simply because from the weak people, a handful of strong ones exist."
Marcus: "Those are the ones that will further humanity."
Yuuwaku: "... Are we supposed to be the strong ones?" ^^;
Jan: "And what do you expect to happen to the weak ones, Marcus?"
Selene: "Well, I guess your goals are good, even if I don't necessarily agree
  with your reasoning..."
* Galen shrugs.
Selene: "But you still didn't say if you'll make me that one promise."
Galen: "Hey, Yuu... is there any of those eggs left?"
Yuuwaku: "I agree with him." ^^;
Yuuwaku: "Yes Galen." ^_^
* Chrissy puts a gloves fist to her chest.  "Darn right!  I'm not some little
  meek sheep that's pushed around. I'm the rule breaker and the rule maker."
  ^_^
* Marcus looks to Jan, "They go on living.  I have no aspirations for the
  strong necessary ruling the weak."
* Varemi drinks some juice, furrows her brow at the conversation.
Galen: "Great."
* Galen piles a plate of eggs up to the ceiling... and wolfs it down.
* Selene taps her foot, looking a bit upset.
* Samantha glares at Marcus, but says nothing.
Marcus: "Things need to proceed naturally, and quite frankly, with dark gods
  and whatever else messing with us, that isn't happening."
Yuuwaku: "I'm sorry Marcus.  I think I misjudged you." ^_^
* Chrissy nods.
Marcus: "Promise you what?"
* Yuuwaku tries to figure out why everyone is glaring at Marcus. ^^;
Galen: "However, having the gods and monsters around isn't necessarily a bad
  thing.  Think about it."
Selene: "Promise that you won't turn on us because someone stronger than us may 
  come along."
Selene: "Actually, promise that you won't turn on us at all..."
Galen: "If they'd just leave us alone and continue on with their little
  conflict without involving us humans, we'd all be better off."
* Jan wonders why Marcus needs to be strong.  Really.
* Selene was just a bit worried because of Marcus's relatively cold attitude.
Yuuwaku: "I don't think Dragons have many conflicts outside of humanities.
  They seem more interested in doing their own thing."
* Kodah continues eating, rather aggressively to boot.
Marcus: "I can promise that I won't turn on you, but I won't promise that I'll
  leave you."
Yuuwaku: "I think that's fair."
Selene: "I didn't expect you to promise not to leave us, so that's okay..."
* Yuuwaku smiles at Selene.
* Selene sighs with relief.
Yuuwaku: "Thank you." ^_^
* Varemi looks at Kodah.
* Selene gives Marcus a small smile of thanks.
* Yuuwaku bows to Marcus.
Yuuwaku: "I apologize if I have been rude."
Varemi: "You'll get a stomach ache, won't you?"
Selene: "I should apologize too...  It's just that with your complaining about
  not wanting to be with us, I got a bit worried..."
Kodah: "It'll give me something else to concentrate on.  Pass the OJ please?"
* Galen keeps on wolfing down his own plate of food.
Marcus: "I'll tell you this, I am the type of person who'll decide that the
  good of the many requires that some must die."
* Varemi eats some toast and nods, then passes the orange juice.
Marcus: "I know that most of you do not agree with me on this."
* Kodah nods in thanks, pours himself some, and downs it quickly.
Yuuwaku: "But for good or ill, people must die anyway."
Varemi: "... Do you see any waffles?"
Galen: "Guys, I'd like to ask a small favor of you all."
Kodah: "Hm?  Uh... not as such."
* Selene turns towards Galen.
Yuuwaku: "What Galen?"
* Kodah scans the area.
Galen: "If it comes down to us fighting my sister, let me handle it, okay?"
Yuuwaku: "Do you want waffles, Varemi?"
Kodah: "Are there any in the kitchen?"
Selene: "If you want... but if you need backup, I'm there for you, okay?"
Galen: "I think if I concentrate my astral attacks on the lich crown, I can
  destroy the spirit inside."
Yuuwaku: "I don't know if I could stand by and watch you be hurt or killed
  Galen."
Jan: "That's fine with me."
Yuuwaku: "But I'll try."
* Selene makes her pretty soldier pose. :P
Galen: "Besides, she's a sorceress... and I can always make a barrier to
  protect me from her magic."
Varemi: "... I like waffles."
* Varemi nods seriously.
Yuuwaku: "Okay, but if you fight her, make sure she's alone."
Samantha: "I do too, Varemi." :)
Yuuwaku: "Okay Varemi."
Yuuwaku: "I'll ask Sephina."
Galen: "I don't think she knows any spells of summoning."
Yuuwaku: "Although we should be going soon."
* Kodah slips an orange in his pocket for later, and wipes his mouth with his
  sleeve.
Galen: "She did mention that it was Zissel that summoned those monsters in
  Zaback."
Yuuwaku: "Sitting around and eating breakfast is all fine and well."
* Selene is ready to go kick some butt! :P
Yuuwaku: "But we have work to do, ne?"
* Chrissy phews.  "Well, I know how it is to have a personal score to settle...
  if that Zissel shows up I'll knock him to outer space for ya." ^^
Jan: "It *was* Zissel.  I could sense the magic coming off of him."
Galen: "Well, I'm ready to go."
Yuuwaku: "We should try using Ares to get to Zissel."
Jan: "Right, Yuuwaku.  Let's go to Raculi."

* Samantha nods, and stands up.
Kodah: "How far is it to Raculi from here?"
Galen: "I'm ready to book it."
* Jan gets up, grabs a muffin for the road, and prepares to leave.
* Yuuwaku walks over to where Varemi and Kodah are.
Galen: "Not far, I think..."
Yuuwaku: "Do you think you could wait on those waffles?"
Galen: "We just have to catch a boat over the Minea Sea."
Yuuwaku: "We should probably head off."
Yuuwaku: "But we may be able to eat them somewhere else, if you don't mind."
Selene: "Or get a ride from our shuttle pilot friend, if he's still around."
Kodah: "Do they have waffles in Raculi?"
Samantha: "I'm pretty sure they do, Kodah." ^_^
Galen: "I could fly there in no time, personally."
Selene: "I heard they have the best waffles in the world there!" ^_^
* Chrissy stuffs a muffin in her mouth, mmfing to Selene in agreement.
Kodah: "Works for me.  How about you Varemi?"
* Varemi looks at Kodah, looks at Yuuwaku.
* Varemi nods.
Varemi: "It sounds good."
Varemi: "Thank you, Yuuwaku."
* Yuuwaku smiles at Varemi and puts his hand on Kodah's arm.
Galen: "Okay... then it's settled."
* Ambush 6000 rustles a bit.
Yuuwaku: "Shall we go?"
Galen: "Let's."
* Kodah nods, and grabs his pack.
* Selene nods and fixes her hair a bit.
Kodah: "I think we've taken up enough of Sephina's time and space for a while
  anyways."
* Chrissy runs off, and grabs her stuff, a bunch of gadgets you haven't seen
  before among them.  It looks quite heavy too, but she's surprisingly unphased
  at all by the extra weight. ^^
* Samantha slings her backpack over her shoulder.
Yuuwaku: "Now that we have money, should we get new armor for Kodah?"
Samantha: "That'd be a smart idea." :)
Kodah: "We could probably just wait until Raculi to do that."
* Jan nods.
Galen: "Sounds like a plan."
Selene: "I don't know if the shop in Zaback is open...  Maybe we can check in
  Raculi?"
Yuuwaku: "They may not have stores there."
Yuuwaku: "Oh okay."
Yuuwaku: "That's right." ^^;
* Yuuwaku sighs. -_-;
* Selene thinks that Zaback's still cleaning up from Zissel's attack.
Chrissy: "I'll finish up that hacking job later... time for some action!  We'll
  pass by the store, if not, there's always Raculi, yep."
Kodah: "No sense wasting time around Zaback, right?"
Yuuwaku: "Yeah." ^^;
Galen: "Let's just go on to Raculi..."
Chrissy: "Hopefully the landing area's not too beat up..."
Yuuwaku: "Ne, Kodah... if you need to talk at some point about anything..."
Selene: "I think the landing area was far outside of town."
Kodah: "Where is Sephina anyways?  We should thank her."
* Selene turns to Kodah.  "Yeah, I'm here too if you need someone to talk to."
* Chrissy nods to Selene.
Varemi: "I did not see her this morning."
* Kodah nods to Yuu and Selene.
Chrissy: "Well then... hmm... yeah... where is Sephina?"
Kodah: "When I'm ready, I will."
Galen: "She's probably pretty busy..."
Yuuwaku: "Take your time." ^_^
* Sephina gradually meanders into the kitchen and prepares to clean up.
* Yuuwaku glomps Sephina when she isn't carrying anything breakable.
Yuuwaku: "We're leaving." ^^;
* Kodah notices Sephina.
* Samantha nods, "Thank you for your hospitality, Sephina." :)
Selene: "Hi, Sephina!"
* Sephina is glomped, but handles the glomp.
Kodah: "I was hoping we'd find you before we left."
Galen: "Thanks a lot, Sephina."
Sephina: "Good morning, everyone.  I trust you all slept well?"
Selene: "Yes, thanks Sephina!"
* Selene nods.
Galen: "Didn't sleep at all, as a matter of fact."
Sephina: "You're very welcome."
* Kodah bows a bit to Sephina,
* Chrissy claps her hands together.  "Ah, he's the host herself.  We wanted to
  tell you before we shoved off for Raculi, doc..."
Kodah: "Thanks, for everything."
Galen: "anyway, it's time we set out."
Sephina: "Any time you need some help, feel free to get in contact with me.  In
  fact... if I -do- run into you again and you do not mind... I might ask to
  hook something to Dante so you could have me help you while you are on the
  road, such as finding information on people or other things."
* Chrissy gives a thumbs up.  "Sure, I'd be happy to set a remote uplink up..."
* Sephina gives nods to everyone who individually thanked her.
* Sephina washes a dish.
* Yuuwaku reluctantly lets go.
* Galen starts to walk out.
Yuuwaku: "Goodbye." ^_^;
Chrissy: "I have to keep tabs on here too.  I'm curious what Tia's disk holds,
  but I couldn't break the encryption yet."
* Samantha waves to Sephina one more time, and heads out.
* Marcus walks after the others and thinks to himself, "Promises, heh."
* Ambush 6000 rustles affectionately at Sephina's feet, and then quickly makes
  its exit.
* Kodah waves to Sephina, and heads off.
* Selene waves and heads for the elevator.
Chrissy: "So if you figure it out, give me a buzz." ^^
* Jan nods his head as he goes.
* Chrissy flops a little device to Sephina, obviously like a type of pager. ^^
Sephina: "Goodbye, Yuuwaku." *pats him before he runs* "And everyone.  So
  long."
Sephina: "Thank you, Chrissy.  I will."
Yuuwaku: "Good bye." ^^;
Galen: "See ya, doc."

--The elevator is conveniently waiting for you... :)--

Chrissy: "Thanks again!" *waves*
* Samantha heads into the elevator!
* Jan joins her.
* Galen follows Sam.
* Ambush 6000 playfully bounces into the elevator.
* Chrissy swinging Dante around her neck and makes her exit to the ever loving
  elevator.
* Yuuwaku follows everyone looking a little forcedly cheerful.

--The elevator rises to the surface once everyone is inside.  At the surface,
  the secret entrance to the cave opens up.--

Sephina: "..." *bitterly serious expression* "And now..." *picks up a
  phone-like thing* "They're gone, Teal.  Now... I'm not an angry person.  You
  know me that well."

--Before it gets further, you're all out of hearing range.--

* Yuuwaku fingers the hilt of his sword
Teal: "I'll be right over, Sephina...".

--It is a gorgeous day outside, and it's fortunately perfect weather for
  walking the not-so-long walk to the landing area.--

Yuuwaku: "I hope we get to kill something again today..."
* Yuuwaku is speaking quietly to himself.
* Samantha decides to ignore Yuu. ^6;
* Samantha takes in a deep breath.
Jan: "It's not good to want to kill something..."
* Jan knows the feeling.
* Yuuwaku blinks.
Yuuwaku: "Hm?" ^_^;
Yuuwaku: "I guess it isn't." ^_^;
* Kodah walks along with his usual gait, again making sure to keep Varemi from
  wandering too far off.
* Yuuwaku is walking quickly, not paying much attention to the rest of the
  group.

--Soon you arrive at the shuttle landing spot.  The pilot is applying a new
  coat of wax to the shuttle...--

Shuttle Pilot: "Hi there.  You guys need another ride, right?"
Galen: "To Raculi."
Yuuwaku: "Yeah."
Kodah: "Raculi if you please."
Marcus: "Of course."
Samantha: ^^; "Yes please."
Shuttle Pilot: "Raculi?  No problem.  All aboard!"
* Yuuwaku boards the shuttle.
* Samantha clambers aboard.
* Jan climbs aboard.
* Ambush 6000 clings onto Yuuwaku's back as he boards.
* Kodah follows suit and straps himself into a chair.
* Galen boards.
* Yuuwaku takes the bush off his back and hugs it.
* Varemi boards as well.

--Once everyone boards the shuttle, the pilot takes off for Raculi.--

* Galen looks out the window, lost in thought again.
Shuttle Pilot: "I should be able to land just outside the town.  Is that okay?"
* Ambush 6000 swishes its leaves happily.
* Yuuwaku stares out of the window tensely.
Kodah: "Works for me."
Samantha: "Sounds nice." :)
Galen: "Whatever."
* Varemi sits next to Kodah, which is probably also near Yuuwaku (?) and
  notices the orange in Kodah's pocket.
Varemi: "... I wish I had pockets."
Varemi: "But I guess they would annoy me."
* Yuuwaku forces himself to relax.
Yuuwaku: "Maybe you need a backpack Varemi."

--After a very short flight, seeing how close by Raculi is, you arrive just
  outside of town.  From this point, you can see that Raculi is quite a busy
  port city.  There is one active lighthouse near the main pier and another one 
  somewhat to the distance...--

Kodah: "Why's that?"
Varemi: "... It would require clothing that would have pockets."
Varemi: "There is not much one can fit in skin tight leather.  Even if it has
  pockets, they are not pockets that could hold an orange."
Yuuwaku: "That's why you need a backpack Varemi."
Shuttle Pilot: "Here we are!"
Kodah: "That was quick."
Yuuwaku: "Then you could carry many things without needing pockets."
Jan: "Thanks."
Varemi: "What if it slowed me down?"
* Galen silently stands up and walks off the shuttle.
Yuuwaku: "It might at first, but you'd get used to it and become stronger."
* Marcus disembarks.
Shuttle Pilot: "If you need a backpack, I have a spare in the back of the
  shuttle.  Help yourself."
Varemi: "..."
* Varemi looks to see what this alleged "backpack" looks like.
Yuuwaku: "The nice shuttle pilot is offering...  What is your name, sir?" ^_^ 
* Jan gets off the shuttle.

--It's just a regular lightweight backpack.--

* Samantha follows Jan.
* Yuuwaku smiles at little at Jan and Samantha.
Shuttle Pilot: "My name's Roy."
* Kodah goes to exit the shuttle, and waits for Varemi to emerge, possibly with
  backpack in tow.
Yuuwaku: "Thank you Roy." ^_^
Roy: "You're welcome." :)
Yuuwaku: "Even if Varemi does not find the backpack to her liking, we
  appreciate your offer." ^_^
* Yuuwaku bows slightly and then jumps off the shuttle.
* Varemi examines it, nods, and takes it.
* Galen walks on into town.
Varemi: "Thank you, sir."
Yuuwaku: "In a battle situation, you might want to take the backpack off
  Varemi."
Varemi: "What is your favorite color?"
Yuuwaku: "If it is impairing your movements too much."
Roy: "You're welcome... and I kinda like red."
Varemi: "Ah."
Varemi: "Thank you."
* Varemi disembarks.
* Yuuwaku looks at Varemi.
* Kodah looks over the combination of Varemi+backpack, nods to her in approval,
  and sets off for the town.
Yuuwaku: ^_^
* Varemi adjusts it and nods back to Kodah.
* Yuuwaku walks up to Chrissy.
Galen: "Haven't been here in a long time..."

--Most of Raculi appears to be quite new, as if it was rebuilt in the past
  decade or so.--

Yuuwaku: "Hey Chrissy, I was wondering..."

--The town has an armor shop, an item shop, and a tavern, among other
  buildings.--

* Kodah looks around town with interest.
Yuuwaku: "Armor shop, right?"
* Varemi nods.
Varemi: "Kodah needs his thing."
* Yuuwaku shifts his focus between the group and Chrissy.
Kodah: "As long as we have time, I'm okay with it."
* Yuuwaku frowns suddenly.
* Galen finds a random townsperson.  "Good morning."
Townsperson: "Hello.  Can I help you with something?"
* Yuuwaku runs a finger across his stomach and smiles a little to himself.
Galen: "I guess I can check out the lighthouse."
Townsperson: "You sure about that?  One reason why that place was abandoned is
  all the monsters that now lurk near it."
Galen: "Why not?  I've never been one to NOT do something because I might get
  killed."
Yuuwaku: "Any idea what kinds of monsters those were?"
Townsperson: "Strange bat creatures and stone golems."

--The armor store, item store, and tavern, by the way, are open for business.--

Yuuwaku: "Bats and stone golems.  Thanks." ^_^
Galen: "Golems?"
* Varemi notices Kodah run off.
* Varemi eyes the item shop...
Galen: "Someone's been making golems..interesting..."
Townsperson: "Well, they look like golems...  I'm not sure if they really are."
* Varemi looks at the armor shop and decides to see if they have anything new.
* Kodah saunters over to the armor store.
Galen: .oO(Probably Penthesillia...  I wouldn't doubt she'd be into making
  golems... or even chimeras.)
Armor Clerk: "Hello, may I help you?"
Kodah: "Hello, can I see your wares please?"
* Yuuwaku looks around for other townspeople.
Armor Clerk: "Sure...  I just want to apologize for our low stock..."
* Marcus waits outside the shops.

  public execution...  Hardly anyone survived, so very little is known about

* Galen points.  "The lighthouse is in that direction.  Apparently there are
  golems in the area, so I think anyone with wind spells would be well advised
  to use them."
Yuuwaku: "And then Galen's suggestion is, of course, the good one."
Varemi: "No."
Kodah: "Pity."
Yuuwaku: "Wind spells are strong against Golems?"
Varemi: "But you got new things." *paws at the silk*
Kodah: "Yes, I did."
Galen: "Wind is strong against earth or rock elemental creatures."
Varemi: "That's good.  Nothing for my backpack yet, though, I am afraid."
Galen: "I'm thinking that my mega-death spell might work... but it's an
  air/earth combination spell."

* Ambush 6000 blows a gust of air in Galen's direction.
Varemi: "Let's go find everyone.  They're over there.  See the bush?"

* Kodah looks at the group as he arrives, "So what's the news?"
Galen: "I think I'll hang around out here, guys."

--The tavern is pretty much what you'd expect in your average tavern.  Noisy,
  but not rowdy, and people are just generally having a merry old time drinking
  beer and eating food.  There is also an unusual person in the corner who
  appears quite out of it...--

* Blunt Smoker takes a puff of his blunt...
Blunt Smoker: "Duuuuuuuuuude!  This is some great stuff, maaaaaan!"
* Yuuwaku stares at Blunt Smoker.
* Chrissy takes a whiff as they enter.

Blunt Smoker: "Yeah, some chick with light blue hair...  When I asked her out,
  she told me to go smoke some catnip and f' off."
* Yuuwaku gestures for Varemi to continue her conversation with the bartender.
Bartender: "Yes?"
Varemi: "... Do you sell waffles here, good sir?"
* Chrissy smirks.  "Sounds like the boss was here."
Bartender: "Only the best on Lunar.  1 S a serving."
Chrissy: "You see where this chick went?"
Blunt Smoker: "No, dudette...  She was here months ago."
Varemi: ...." *looks for Samantha, doesn't see her in immediate sight*

Varemi: "Alright.  Two servings of waffles.  The rest can decide if they want

Blunt Smoker: "I was gonna clean my room tonight, but I got high..."
* Chrissy shakes a fist.  "I've got another wonder drug to make you mellow...

* Bartender heads out back and returns with two servings of waffles.
Galen: "There was a place in Scotland with a better menu."
* Yuuwaku walks over to Chrissy.
* Varemi notices Jan looking a little upset.
* Varemi walks over to Jan.  Offers him a waffle hopefully.
Yuuwaku: "I don't think you should talk to him."
* Chrissy klonks the Blunt Smoker in the head. *thunk*
Marcus: "Bother the Scots.  Now the Irish have good pubs."
Blunt Smoker: "Whoa...  Trippy..."
* Yuuwaku takes Chrissy's arm.
Jan: "Um...  Thanks, Varemi."
* Chrissy brushes her hands, and walks off.  "What a L-o-s-e-r..." ^^
* Ambush 6000 acts as an air purifier in an attempt to improve the air quality
  in the vicinity of the group, and begins whirring somewhat noisily.

* Yuuwaku walks over to some people, still hanging on Chrissy's arm.

* Jan finds a fork to pick up the waffle with and feels rather silly eating it
  off a fork.
* Marcus gets some ale from the bartender.
* Kodah just eats the waffle with his hands.
* Bartender gives Marcus his ale for 1 S.
Tavern Person: "Hello."
Chrissy: "So... umm... what are we doing?  Going to try to meet this temple
  woman?  Maybe check out the lighthouse?"
Yuuwaku: "Me and my umm... woman were umm... wondering... about Raculi." :D
* Ambush 6000 starts coughing a little.
Tavern Person: "Lovely town, isn't it?  I'm just here on business myself."
Yuuwaku: "Oh." ^_^
Yuuwaku: "Do you know much about the history of the region?" ^_^
* Chrissy looks at Yuuwaku. "Your woman?  Heheh... sure."  She gives him a
  hefty hug.

* Chrissy chuckles as Yuuwaku eefs.
Yuuwaku: "Maybe we should check it out uhh... honey?" :D
Tavern Person: "It's the main port for the Salyan Desert area...  We do a lot
  of business with the city of Rashana."
Galen: "Rashana, eh?"
* Tavern Person nods.
Galen: "Sounds like some place that we may want to go."
Chrissy: "Port city... well we love ports, right hun?"
Yuuwaku: "Why would we want to go there, umm... friend?" ^_^
Tavern Person: "It's not very exciting...  It's best known for its metal
  working."
Yuuwaku: "Metal working?"
Yuuwaku: "Hmm."
Galen: "Laconian alloy, if I'm not mistaken, right?"
Tavern Person: "Right!  How did you know that?"
Galen: "Reading..."
Yuuwaku: "He reads a lot of stuff.  A regular bookworm, my friend is." ^_^
Tavern Person: "Interesting... although it was only in the past couple of years 
  they rediscovered the process for making it."
Chrissy: "Well now!  We simple must visit."
Tavern Person: "It's still very rare, expensive stuff."
Yuuwaku: "What's so special about laconia?"
* Chrissy rubs Yuuwaku's bishy head.
Tavern Person: "It's the strongest metal alloy you can get, and it has some
  holy properties too."
Yuuwaku: "Ooh."
Galen: "Well, Yuu.  According to what I've read, Laconian armor and weapons are 
  the best ever made."
Yuuwaku: "I need to get me some."
Yuuwaku: "Rashana."
Yuuwaku: "Okay."
Yuuwaku: "Let me write that one down."
* Yuuwaku pulls out his little note pad.
Yuuwaku: "I like visiting places, you know?" :D
* Ambush 6000 stops whirring and begins rustling angrily at hearing about
  Laconia.
Chrissy: "You're always forgetting things.  Where would you be without me."
  *elbows Yuu a little playfully*
Tavern Person: "Yeah...  Apparently they made all the Laconian alloy for the
  Dragonstarships years ago before the town was destroyed.  It was rebuilt
  about fifty years ago and about three years ago they discovered the formula
  for the alloy."
* Ambush 6000 trundles over to Chrissy and Yuuwaku.
Yuuwaku: "Dragonstarships?"
* Chrissy pausing, tilting her head.
Tavern Person: "Yes, the legendary Dragonstarships -- the Destiny, Yamato,
  Argo, and Seiryuu."
Yuuwaku: "..."
Yuuwaku: "Seiryuu."
* Varemi nods, figuring Jan does not want to talk about waffles as she might
  like to and walks back over to Kodah, seeing if he finished.
Yuuwaku: "That sounds familiar."
* Galen looks right at Chrissy.
Yuuwaku: "Here honey.  Why don't you talk with them.  I'm going to go
  interrogate another person." :D
* Chrissy gets a twinkle in her eyes.
Tavern Person: "I'm a bit of a naval history buff...  The Seiryuu was the last
  one built, and the only one not to have a hull made of solid Laconian alloy."
* Kodah finishes off the waffle.
Chrissy: "Why I'd love to..."
* Yuuwaku walks over to the bartender.
Galen: "We definitely need to head to Rashana."
* Marcus looks at Yuu and Chrissy, "I think I'm going to be sick."
Varemi: "... Is the waffle tasty? *says this while eating it*
* Chrissy plops down, chatting.  "The hull's solid Laconian alloy?"
Kodah: "Yes it is."
Tavern Person: "Only on the three earlier starships.  By the time the Seiryuu
  was built, they had run out, so they only plated it."
Yuuwaku: "Excuse me, Mr. Bartender."
Bartender: "May I help you with something?"
* Ambush 6000 clinks its leaves indignantly!
Yuuwaku: "Do you know much about the Ayokawa Temple?"
Chrissy: "That's interesting... and you say they rediscovered the process of
  refinement not too long ago?"
Bartender: "It was named for its founder, Kyoko Ayokawa, and was built on the
  ruins of the Serek Palace."
* Kodah watches Varemi as she eats, "Do you think they're tasty too?"
Tavern Person: "Yep...  It's making a killing for the town, although it's still 
  too rare for most people to get it."
Yuuwaku: "Kyoko Ayokawa?  Why'd she build a temple there?"
* Varemi nods. "I like waffles.  Something about their texture and shape I
  guess."
Chrissy: "Haha... I bet if I was in with those Church bigwigs I could see the
  metal easy." ^_^
Bartender: "She was a priestess of the Goddess, and she established the temple
  both as a place of worship and a home for her family."
Yuuwaku: "Does anyone live there now?"
Kodah: "I just find them rally utilitarian.  You can do a lot with waffles."
Varemi: "Oh?"
Varemi: "Such as..?"
Bartender: "No, it's just a museum these days.  The Church isn't that popular
  in these parts."
* Ambush 6000 huffs at Chrissy and storms (as much as a faux mobile shrubbery
  can manage) out of the tavern.
Kodah: "Well, you can use them in the regular manner, or you wan use them for
  sandwiches in lieu of bread, or sometimes you can use them for cones for ice
  cream..."
Chrissy: .oO( Well I'll be... the Church could be planning to retrofit the
  Seiryuu... then they could be almost invincible... )
Galen: "Personally, Yuu, I don't think Kyoko Ayokawa would have anything to do
  with the Church of this era..."
Yuuwaku: "It's a museum, but only one woman has the key to open it.  Do you
  need to arrange with her for a tour?"
* Tavern Person nods.
Varemi: "I never thought much about their many uses..."
Varemi: "Are there more?"
Yuuwaku: "Oh..."
Bartender: "Well, it's closed for renovations.  That's why she's out of town."
Yuuwaku: "Renovations?  Huh."
Bartender: "It's quite an old building, and maintenance on it costs a bundle."
Yuuwaku: "Is she a descendant of the Ayokawa family?"
Kodah: "Well, they can keep for a while, and they reheat well.  And you can add
  just about any flavor you like to them, before or after cooking."
Bartender: "Not that I know of...  I heard most of the Ayokawa family
  descendants moved out of town."
* Chrissy pauses, watch the bush run away.  She frowns a little.
Yuuwaku: "I wonder when the museum will be open again."
* Chrissy turns back to the tavern goer.  "So you said they make it in Dalton,
  right?  I'll certainly have to swing by on my travels." ^^
Galen: "As a matter of fact, I really doubt that Kyoko would have anything do
  to with Ares and his ilk."
Bartender: "She usually is willing to show people around, even during the
  renovations, if you ask her nicely enough."
Yuuwaku: "Ah, that would be nice." ^_^
Yuuwaku: "Do you know much about the disaster that struck the town?"
Tavern Person: "No, they just ship it from Dalton.  They make it in Rashana."
Varemi: "You are a wise man, Kodah."
Bartender: "Sorry...  I moved here from Meribia, seeking a quieter life...
  That and Quark's was putting me out of business..."
* Varemi finishes her waffles. Looks longingly at the plate.
Chrissy: "Gotcha.  Thanks for the tip!  You could say I'm a big enthusiast of
  naval history."
Yuuwaku: "Oh well.  Thanks anyway."
* Yuuwaku smiles.
* Kodah shrugs, "I wouldn't go that far.  I just like waffles, so I know a bit
  about them."
Tavern Person: "No problem."
Bartender: "Don't mention it." :)
Yuuwaku: "Good bye." ^_^
* Bartender nods.
* Yuuwaku walks over to Chrissy.
Kodah: "Ask me about something I know nothing about and I'll seem less wise."
Yuuwaku: "We should be going now."
Galen: "Hmm... Chrissy... I can think of a reason why the alloy would be
  shipped through Dalton, if the church is involved."
* Yuuwaku heads over to Varemi and Kodah
Yuuwaku: "I think we should head out."
* Chrissy grins and gets up, wondering where her little "honey" is mooching. ^^
  She tilts to Galen, lowering her voice.  "Why do you think.  That a big port
  for them on Lunar?"
Kodah: "Hm?  Oh, okay."
Galen: "Dalton's port is a direct shipping route to Azado."
Varemi: "Okay.  We'll go. I'm finished."
* ~Samantha lemmings.
* Kodah gets ready to go
* ~Jan lemmings.
Varemi: "I like waffles as well, but I've never thought of all of their uses
  myself.  Maybe because I have not been familiar with waffles for as long."
* Chrissy blanches.  "I don't like it one bit...  I think I know what they're
  going to do with that metal."
* Ambush 6000 is sniffing and clinking its leaves near a particularly tall fir.
Kodah: "I've used waffles for a long time."
* Galen heads out. "And since Azado is a major port for the Church's naval
   force... you get where I'm going with this, right?"
* Yuuwaku gestures to Marcus.
Chrissy: "Of course I do." :p
* Chrissy huffs, and leaves the tavern, a little annoyed. ^^
Galen: "And the Dragonstarship, Seiryuu... something tells me that we may just
  need to head to Rashana."
Chrissy: "One thing at a time Galen."
* Varemi nods.
Varemi: "We have a lot to do."
Galen: "Of course."
Selene: "So, are we going to check out the lighthouse now?"
Kodah: "I can show you how to make them sometime if you'd like."
Galen: "Would be a good idea."
* Chrissy tries to find where the bush went, and apologize to it.
* Ambush 6000 nuzzles up against the fir, which gives no noticeable reply.
* Galen points in the direction of the lighthouse.  "So, let's get going."
Yuuwaku: "We should be prepared for a fight."
Varemi: "I would like that.  Thank you."
Yuuwaku: "Varemi, do you think your gravity magic would work well against
  something made of stone?"
* Chrissy taps on the Ambush.  "Hey, I'm sorry...  You allergic to that metal
  or something?"
Varemi: "I can't tell."
Varemi: "I've seen it work well enough..."
Yuuwaku: "No way to find out unless we try, I guess." ^_^
* Ambush 6000 does a 180-degree turn.
* Galen offers his Star Light to Varemi.
* Kodah nods, and turns his attention to the discussion.
* Yuuwaku tilts his head to the side and looks at Kodah.
Ambush 6000: *playback* Voice: "Ambush 6000 is fully hypo-allergenic, with
  titanium leaves that can resist temperatures of up to 5000º K."
Yuuwaku: "Galen said wind magic might work best against them..."
Yuuwaku: "I don't know if that means anything to you."
* Marcus follows the others.
* Ambush 6000 makes synthesized grumbling noises.
* Selene sings softly to herself.
* Chrissy sweatdrops. ^^; "Oh I get it."
* Kodah lemmings.
* Jan just follows everyone.
* ~Samantha lemmings.
* Yuuwaku walks along.
* Ambush 6000 displays a periodic table with the titanium symbol highlighted,
  and the Laconia symbol marked with a big red X.

--Soon you arrive just past the outskirts of town along the coast.  This place
  appears to be quite abandoned.  The ruins of several buildings can be seen,
  with the lighthouse not too far off...--

* Chrissy rubs her head.  "It's nice you're proud of your make.  I'm just a
  scientist though." ^^; "Don't worry, I don't think anything less of you."
* Ambush 6000 dematerializes the periodic table and "looks" up, while making a
  sort of questioning whimpering noise.
Galen: "This place was really hit hard...  I wonder what destroyed all this..."
Selene: o/~ When I was alone as one, my heart was as ice, so cold... o/~
* Yuuwaku smiles at Selene.
* Selene smiles back.
* Varemi adjusts her new animal backpack...
Varemi: "..."
Varemi: "It's furry."
Kodah: "Indeed."
* Chrissy is about to continue, then acks as she's left behind.  "Hey, wait
  up!!"

--In the distance, you can see a group of objects rushing towards you...--

Kodah: "..?"
* Chrissy runs after the group to the lighthouse. ^^
* Galen prepares a spell.
* Ambush 6000 flitters its leaves and scurries along, making randomly-pitched
  beeping noises all the while.
* Jan doesn't like the looks of this.

--Soon you realize they are some of the hostile monsters that you were warned
  about...  Some of them appear to be goofy-looking bats carrying baseball
  bats, the others are golem-like stone creatures...--

Yuuwaku: "..."
Yuuwaku: "Bats."

* Jan pulls out his shurikens.
* Yuuwaku blinks and sheathes his sword.
* Varemi crosses her arms and gets into formation.
Yuuwaku: "Oh right." ^_^
* Chrissy runs up, somewhat out of breath, making a funny face at the array of
  foes.
Galen: "Whoever made these monsters must have a few 'bats in their belfry.'"
Kodah: "Let's see, four Golem Pitchers in front, four Baka Bats in back."
* Marcus looks seriously at Galen, "I hate puns."
* Ambush 6000 stops dead in its tracks, pauses, and suddenly rolls into a
  nearby alley.
* Yuuwaku clutches the Opal Pendant around his neck, the words to a new spell
  coming to his mind.
* Kodah drops his pack, pulls his weapon from out of nowhere once again, and
  starts gathering his magic.
Jan: "Anything in particular you guys want to concentrate on?"
Galen: "I think I can take out the golems..."
Galen: "I just need some time to prepare my spells."
* Kodah tenses, and bright light fills his eye sockets.  This light shoots
  straight out to either side of him, then splits to form two circular halves,
  forming a standing ring around his body.  This ring begins to spin around
  him, faster and faster, until it forms a sphere of intense energy around 
  Kodah's body.
Yuuwaku: "The golems look strongest."
Chrissy: "Are these enemies, or walking bad jokes?  Geez..." O_O
Jan: "Okay, I'll start with the bats then and help get them out of the way."
Yuuwaku: "First things first Galen.  Strengthen us up."
* Chrissy shoulders her pack, and puts up her dukes!
Galen: "Okay... you think Astral Armor would be needed?"
Galen: "That spell is a major drain on my power..."
Yuuwaku: "I'm not sure.  I think I'll be okay.  Increasing the party's physical
  strength might be best."
Galen: "Anyone else think we need a defense boost?"
Varemi: "I don't need one."
Kodah: "Probably."
Yuuwaku: "But I think it might be better if you just start attacking right off
  the bat."
Varemi: "On the bats with bats?"
* Kodah tries very hard to ignore the puns.
* Yuuwaku cries.
Yuuwaku: "That wasn't... wahhh..." ;_;

	Yuuwaku casts Ebony Barrier!

Galen: "I'm going to cast Crimson Wolf on Chrissy and Yuu."
Varemi: "... What?"
Galen: "After I prepare my own boosts."
* Yuuwaku is surrounded by a dark glow, emanating from the pendant around his
  neck.  Whee. :D
Yuuwaku: "Haha!  No more dying!" >:D
* Yuuwaku draws his sword.

	Yuuwaku's Def and MgD up 25!

* Chrissy gives a quizzical look.  "So that's what that doohickey does... up
  and at 'em, Yuu!"
Kodah: "Nice."

	Kodah casts Windcutter on  Golem Pitcher A!
	
* Kodah shouts, and raises his staff above his head.  On command, a small
  tornado slams down on his target, pinning it in place.  Kodah then makes a
  slashing motion with his staff, and dozens of shock waves fly in to slam into
  the enemy one after the other!

	Golem Pitcher A is critically weak to Wind magic.  66 damage.

Yuuwaku: "Yay." ^_^
Galen: "Thought so."

	~Samantha attacks Golem Pitcher A!
	First attack...  38 damage.
	Second attack...  Critical hit!  84 damage1

Yuuwaku: "I wonder how quickly we can kill it."

	Jan casts Sharp Shot on Baka Bat A!

Galen: "With golems, there's no way to tell."
Galen: "At least they're not obsidian golems."

  a bright green glow for an instant. Chrissy feels a tingle of energy as their 
  mind & body begin to react much quicker than normal, the whole battlefield
  slowing down in comparison...
Chrissy: [Dante] "Amplifying subject's bio-energies... Lv. 1 temporal enhancer
  active.  Synch OK."
Yuuwaku: "I might, but I think I'll be okay."

* Jan bleeds.  Ouch.
* Chrissy gets sped up marginally, looking ticked off. :o
* Kodah grips the healing crest and gets to work.

	Galen casts Mystic Vigor!

Yuuwaku: "Someone needs to get Varemi out of her daze."

Chrissy: "I have an energy drink that might do the trick!"
Yuuwaku: "Alright Chrissy.  Go for it."

	Marcus casts Arc Shot on the Baka Bats!

Yuuwaku: "Jan, Varemi, Marcus, keep attacking.  Focus on those bats."
* Yuuwaku fishes around.
Varemi: "Quiet, you dirty land lemur." ><;
* Jan nods weakly.  He stills seems game to fight though.

	Baka Bat A suffers 31 damage.  B 28.  C 31.  D 32.

* Varemi shakes her fist at the menacing lemur Varemi apparently believes
  Yuuwaku to be.
* Kodah waves a hand in front of Varemi's face, "Helooo?"

	Selene casts Purity Song on Varemi!  The sound of her voice cures her
	dazed state!

* Ambush 6000 barrels out of the alley, and makes a dive at Baka Bat B's weapon!

	Ambush 6000 attempts to disarm Baka Bat B and fails. :(

* Ambush 6000 gets swatted back into the alley, having been picked off by the
  second baseman.

* Kodah helps Varemi back up.
Kodah: "You okay now?"

	Baka Bat D and Golem Pitcher D appear to be plotting something
	together...

Varemi: "Huh?"
* Chrissy stops looking in her pack of junk, seeing Varemi in the clear... or

Varemi: "Oh, certainly." ... o O (Why am I on the ground?)
* ~Samantha prepares another attack...
Varemi: "Deadweight on the golems, right?"
Yuuwaku: "Chrissy, just attack."
* Yuuwaku finds what he's looking for and heads towards Jan.

	Baka Bat D and Golem Pitcher D are conversing and plotting...

Kodah: "Actually, we're trying to crush the bats first."
Yuuwaku: "Varemi, attack the bats if you can."
* Chrissy grrs and nods, looking at Golem A with murder in her eyes...
* Jan gets ready for another attack, trusting the others will take care of him.
Varemi: "Oh, okay."
Yuuwaku: "The first one would be best for single attacks because it's already
  hurt."
* Yuuwaku gestures to Bat A.
Jan: "I'm on it."
Kodah: "Who is helping Jan?"
Varemi: "... Should I?"
Varemi: "I could heal..."

	Yuuwaku uses an Herb on Jan!  Jan recovers 50 HP!

Varemi: "... Oh."
* Yuuwaku uses the Herb to heal Jan's wounds.
Yuuwaku: "Don't worry.  I got him."
Yuuwaku: "If anyone can get Samantha and Galen, they need help too."

	Kodah casts Heal Litany on Samantha!

* Kodah claps his hands, then opens them again.  A gentle ribbon of wind curls
  up around Samantha and erases any wounds that it touches.
* Yuuwaku swallows hard.

	Samantha regains 27 HP.
	Jan casts Sharp Shot on Baka Bat A!

* Yuuwaku prays for life. ;_;
* Jan hurls a precisely aimed shuriken at the bat.

	Baka Bat A is hit for 72 damage!

	First attack...  40 damage!  Golem Pitcher A crumbles!

* Varemi drops both hands to the side, closes her eyes, focuses her mind.
Kodah: "Nice job Sam."

	Chrissy casts Piston Punch on Golem Pitcher D!

* Chrissy rubs both her wrists once, the motion accompanied by a very audible
  *click* from something under her heavy gloves.  "How about a little fuel
  injection?"
* Chrissy dashes at Golem D, throwing a flurry of jabs, uppercuts, and backhand 
  punches with mechanical speed and precision, a thin trail of steam escaping
  her hands after every hit.  "Piston Punch!"

	First attack...  47 damage.
	Second attack...  45 damage.

Chrissy: "Now watch me when I step up to the plate!"

	Third attack...  48 damage.
	Fourth attack...  46 damage.
	Baka Bat D and Golem Pitcher D COMBO to cast Home Run on Chrissy!

Yuuwaku: "Oh no!  Chrissy!" @_@

	Golem Pitcher D serves up a perfectly thrown rock to Baka Bat D, who
	then smacks a line drive right at Chrissy!

Kodah: "!"
* Chrissy blinks, as the golem doesn't falter quite as she expected, and she
  tries to hit the dirt!
Varemi: "..."

	Chrissy is hit for 86 damage.

* Yuuwaku winces again.
* Chrissy flops over onto the ground seeing stars.  "Oogh... is it the seventh
  inning stretch already?" *_*

	Golem Pitcher B attacks Yuuwaku!
	Yuuwaku dodges.
	
* Yuuwaku jumps out of the way.

	Golem Pitcher C attacks Kodah.
	Kodah dodges.

* Kodah hops on top of his staff and avoids the attack.
Yuuwaku: "Yatta." :D

	Baka Bat A attacks Varemi!
	Varemi is hit for 12 damage.

Varemi: *mutter*

	Baka Bat B attacks Samantha!
	Samantha is hit for 15 damage.
	Baka Bat C attacks Galen!

* Chrissy mutters and picks herself up off the ground...

	Galen is hit for 41 damage and knocked out. :(

Yuuwaku: "Oh no!  Galen!"
Kodah: "Grah..."
Yuuwaku: "Well, I think that golem on the end will be killed pretty easily."
Yuuwaku: "Let me go after it."

	Varemi casts Deadweight on Golem Pitcher D!

* Varemi opens her neon eyes and shoots a harrowing glare at Baka Bat D and
  frowns.  She has her shoulders hunched over as if she has a heavy weight on
  her shoulder, tilts her head down, and looks up through her bangs at her
  opponent.
Yuuwaku: "Oh."
Yuuwaku: "No."
Yuuwaku: "Varemi will kill it." ^^;
* Varemi holds up her hand, mutters, "for Chrissy..." and her rune casts a soft 
  silver glow.  She clenches it tighter and tighter, not averting her glare,
  and the light gets brighter and brighter, pulsing.  When her fist is closed
  as tightly as it can, the light flashes blindingly and the bat feels the
  consequences!

	Baka Bat D is hit for 335 damage and is crushed into powder!

* Chrissy chuckles darkly, wiping some soil off her face. "... Unfortunately
  for you, I've got plenty of pinch hitters!"

	All that remains of Baka Bat D is its bat and a small grease spot...

* Varemi tosses her head back, and her hand after it is finished.
Yuuwaku: "I hope Selene can get Chrissy..."
Yuuwaku: "Does anyone else need healing?"

	Marcus casts mental Screen!
	Marcus is immune to mental status effects...

Chrissy: "We're all pretty bashed up..." ^^
* ~Samantha needs healing.
Varemi: "... I can heal, can't I?"
Yuuwaku: "I think you should attack again."
Kodah: "I can too."
Yuuwaku: "You should attack the bats again Varemi."

	Selene casts Healing Song on Varemi!
	Varemi recovers 30 HP.

===ROUND 3===

Yuuwaku: "Kodah should either heal Samantha again or Chrissy."
Varemi: "... Who hasn't been hit yet?"
Kodah: "I'll help Chrissy this time."
* Chrissy notes Galen's on the down and out...
* Ambush 6000 swiftly fires a whirling blade at Golem Pitcher D!
Yuuwaku: "I think that the third Golem hasn't."
* ~Samantha can heal herself if no one else can heal her.
Yuuwaku: "Samantha, keep attacking."
Yuuwaku: "I have Herbs."
Yuuwaku: "I'll heal Samantha."
Yuuwaku: "Kodah, heal Chrissy."
* ~Samantha nods.
Yuuwaku: "But you might also want to try for the third bat."
Yuuwaku: "Actually, kill the third bat."
Yuuwaku: "Jan, keep fighting that first bat."
Kodah: "There's plenty of firepower already, so I'll heal."

	Golem Pitcher D is hit for 14 damage and shatters!

Yuuwaku: "And Samantha and Chrissy should continue attacking the golems."
Yuuwaku: "Alright bush." :D
* Chrissy grins to the Ambush!  "One out!"
Yuuwaku: "Two more golems to go and three more bats."
* Chrissy prepares to charge second golem, fists swinging!
* Yuuwaku retrieves another Herb.
Yuuwaku: "Alright Sam, this should be quick." ^_^
Varemi: "Wait... is there anything no one is attacking that is at full health?"

	Marcus casts Quickshot on Baka Bat A!

Yuuwaku: "No Varemi."
Varemi: "Okay."
Yuuwaku: "But the third bat has been hit least."
Yuuwaku: "And is not being attacked."

	First attack...  41 damage!  Baka Bat A has been shot down!
	Second attack on B...  37 damage.
	Yuuwaku uses an Herb on Samantha.  50 HP restored.!

* Yuuwaku helps Samantha with the herb of life. :O

	Kodah casts Heal Litany on Chrissy!

* Kodah claps his hands, then opens them again.  A gentle ribbon of wind curls
  up around Chrissy and erases any wounds that it touches.

	Chrissy recovers 25 HP.
	Samantha attacks Golem Pitcher B!

Chrissy: "Ahh... refreshing!"

	First attack...  38 damage.
	Second attack...  42 damage.
	Jan casts Sharp Shot on Baka Bat B!
	Baka Bat B is hit for 71 damage.
	Chrissy casts Piston Punch on Golem Pitcher B!

* Chrissy tears into the other golem with renewed vigor, nitro-injected blows
  crashing into it with vengeance. "Time for a grand slam!"

	First attack...  45 damage.
	Second attack...  43 damage.
	Third attack...  47 damage!  Golem Pitcher B crumbles!
	Fourth attack on C... 50 damage

* Varemi drops both hands to the side, closes her eyes, focuses her mind...
  again.
Yuuwaku: "Alright Chrissy!  One more round and that one'll be out of
  commission." ^_^

	Golem Pitcher C casts High Heat on Varemi!

Varemi: "..."

	Golem Pitcher C winds up and throws a stone fastball right at Varemi's
	face!

Yuuwaku: O_o
* Varemi winces, not liking fire.
Varemi: "Ahh...' *tries to dodge.*

	Varemi is hit for 13 damage.

Yuuwaku: "Are you okay Varemi?"
* Chrissy whews, retreating to her place, shaking her hand a bit.  Punching
  rocks hurts.  "That's one hell of a split finger..."

	Baka Bat B attacks Yuuwaku!

Varemi: "... look out."

	Yuuwaku is hit for 13 damage.
	Baka Bat C attacks Jan!
	Jan is hit for 26 damage.

* Yuuwaku yelps.
Yuuwaku: "Well... I'm not dead... yet." ^^;

	Varemi nukes Golem Pitcher C with a Deadweight spell...

* Varemi glares at the pitcher, holds out her hand and starts closing it.
  Tighter... tighter... it goes from a soft glow to a blinding flash of light
  when she tightens her grip as hard as it will go.
* Varemi whispers... "... Deadweight..."
Yuuwaku: "You know..."
* Varemi tosses her hand back and sees the reaction.
Yuuwaku: "I feel a little bad killing them..."
Yuuwaku: "I mean, they like playing baseball..."
Yuuwaku: "It's such a... friendly sport..."
Yuuwaku: "Not like football or hockey."

	Golem Pitcher C is crushed for 205 damage.

* Varemi huffs.
Chrissy: "Try telling that to the ribs I think they broke." ^^;

	Selene casts healing Song on Yuuwaku!
	Yuuwaku recovers 29 HP.

* Ambush 6000 fires another potent spinning blade at Baka Bat C from the alley!
Yuuwaku: "Wai!  I live." :D

	Baka Bat C is hit by the Ambush for 9 damage.

===ROUND 4===

* Varemi looks over at what else needs to be moon dusted.
Kodah: "Who's still hurt?"
Yuuwaku: "I'm alright now."
* Yuuwaku eyes the bats, or what's left of them.
* Chrissy rolls up her sleeve, and stomps forward, glaring at the bats.  "Time
  to teach you what I think of that last pitch..."
Yuuwaku: "Well, I suppose it's time for a good killing."
* Yuuwaku draws his blade.
* Kodah drops the healing crest, and the sphere around him starts
  accelerating.

	Yuuwaku attacks Baka Bat B!
	First attack...  27 damage.
	Second attack...  Critical hit!  54 damage!  Baka Bat B has had its
	wings clipped permanently!

Kodah: "Nice."

	Kodah casts Windcutter on Baka Bat C!

* Kodah shouts, and raises his staff above his head.  On command, a small
  tornado slams down on his target, pinning it in place.  Kodah then makes a
  slashing motion with his staff, and dozens of shock waves fly in to slam into
  the enemy one after the other!

	Baka Bat C is hit for 37 damage.

Yuuwaku: "Yay." :D
Yuuwaku: "I don't suck." ^_^

	~Samantha attacks Baka Bat C!

* Yuuwaku sheathes his sword and prepares for the imminent victory.

	First attack...  42 damage.
	Second attack...  44 damage.
	Jan casts Sharp Shot on Baka Bat C!
	Baka Bat C is IMPALED for 68 damage!
	VICTORY!
	Galen awakens with 1 HP...

* Chrissy does a victory pose.  "Three strikes and you're out buddy!"

	72 XP, 880 MXP, 4000 S acquired!

Yuuwaku: "Whee." :D
* Kodah lets go of the energy within him, and the sphere of power bursts
  explosively, sending shock waves and debris flying in all directions!
Kodah: "Whew."
* Ambush 6000 slowly rolls out of the alley.
Kodah: "Let's not do that again."
* Chrissy rolls her arm, cracking a few bruised bones back into position. ^^
Chrissy: "That was pretty intense... just the way I like it." ^_^
Chrissy: "We all okay?"
	
	Varemi has reached level 6!

* Chrissy looks around.

--It is smooth sailing, so to speak, to the lighthouse.--

Marcus: "I'm fine."
Yuuwaku: "Yay." ^_^
* Varemi follows along, very quietly.

--As you approach the lighthouse, you notice a small tombstone nearby...--

* Chrissy follows along into the lighthouse, checking her herb supply just in
  case.
Kodah: "..?"
Chrissy: "Hey, what's that stone over there?"

--There is writing on the tombstone...--

Marcus: "What does it say?"

--It is a simple tombstone with a small inscription on it...--

Tombstone: "Here lies Hera Pharos, also known as Hera Phelios.  May she be safe
  from all persecution in the hereafter."
* Yuuwaku blinks.
* Chrissy glances at it.  "A Pharos?"
Yuuwaku: "..."
Kodah: "..?"
Yuuwaku: "Persecution?"

--The lighthouse is also nearby, and the door appears to be unlocked...--

Marcus: "Let's not worry about an epitaph.  Let's just go into the lighthouse."
* Marcus opens the door.
Chrissy: "I wonder why a Pharos would be buried here..." *looks to the
  lighthouse, with renewed interest*"

--The lighthouse is surprisingly well-preserved, although it's obviously been
  abandoned for a while.  Still, someone has been maintaining it.  There are
  various photographs scattered on the furniture as well as what appears to be
  the work of a grade schooler hanging in the kitchen...--

* Kodah pokes around.

--One of the pictures shows a middle-aged woman, probably Hera, along with a
  young child that resembles a younger version of Ares...--

* Chrissy glances at the pictures.  "Hey, that looks awfully like..."
Kodah: "..?"
Samantha: "....?"

--There are legible names on the pieces of school work in the kitchen...--
--The entire room still appears like someone lives here, although it's
  obviously abandoned...  It's all very eerie...--

Kodah: "What's all this...?"
Yuuwaku: "..."
Samantha: "A shrine...?"
Yuuwaku: "Of course."

--There are various school assignments posted in the kitchen, all with grades
  of A...--

Yuuwaku: "Now it all makes sense."
Samantha: "... Yeah, it does actually."
Kodah: "It does?"
* Chrissy tries looking into the school assignments.

--The name on the assignments reads "Ares Phelios."--

Yuuwaku: "Ares used to live here with his mother."
Marcus: "And Ares is a Pharos . . . doesn't change anything though."
Chrissy: "... Well damn, Ares was sure the brainiac."
* Ambush 6000 begins to subtly glow red.
Yuuwaku: "And if my theory is correct..."
* Kodah blinks as he tries to put all this together.
Yuuwaku: "Then however this town was destroyed can probably be attributed to
  him."
Marcus: "No wonder he is so full of himself."
Yuuwaku: "But I'm not sure if it was done on purpose..."
* Chrissy steps out a minute wondering how all this is so well preserved.

--There is another photograph of young Ares along with some other children in
  the town.  They appear to be playing happily together.--

Samantha: "... You know..."
Samantha: "This could be totally off the wall... but do you think his mom may
  have been the one executed here?"
Yuuwaku: "Chrissy, someone said Ares comes to visit this place sometimes."
Kodah: "..?"
Yuuwaku: "I think that's right Samantha."
Chrissy: "You think so too Sam?  I mean, that inscription..."
Samantha: "I mean, I'm thinking, if I was Ares, and my mom was executed here...
  I'd sure flip out."
Samantha: "They could have killed her just because she was related to the
  Pharos line... that's actually really sad."
* Chrissy raises an eyebrow at the red glowing bush...
* Kodah looks at some more photographs, for any other familiar faces.
Yuuwaku: "The bush was made by Pharos Corp right?"
Selene: "That would explain the persecution..."

--There are no other familiar faces in the photos...--

Ambush 6000: *playback* Voice: "Low-level infrared scan initiated."

--The photos seem to indicate that Ares and his mother were happy living here,
  however...--

Yuuwaku: "Hmm... what's it doing?"
Chrissy: "An infrared scan?  Something hidden here?"
Yuuwaku: "He was probably sent to an orphanage and met Eris after all of this."
Selene: "Or maybe worse...  I mean, if they executed his mother because she was
  a Pharos..."
* Kodah runs a hand down one of the happier-looking pictures.
Ambush 6000: *playback* Voice: "Scan complete.  All known thermal signatures
  verified and confirmed.  No new signatures detected."

--The pictures don't give any indication of any bad relationship between Ares's
  family and the rest of the town.--

* Ambush 6000 stops glowing.
Yuuwaku: "I wonder why she was executed though."
Yuuwaku: "Maybe that lady from the Ayokawa Temple could give us a clue."
Marcus: . o O(Ares' motives seem so quaint . . . and pitiful.)
Yuuwaku: "But it's the same old story, it would seem."
Samantha: "We still don't know if she was the one executed.  It's just a
  hunch."
Yuuwaku: "Except it still doesn't explain what he intends to do."
Yuuwaku: "Regardless, his mother was persecuted, his home town was completely
  destroyed."
* Chrissy ponders, looking up further into the lighthouse above.
* Selene bows her head and cries a little...
Kodah: "..."
Yuuwaku: "So he has reason to think the world is a rotten place."

--There is nothing unusual overhead...  This appears to be your average
  lived-in lighthouse.--

* Varemi eyes everything but remains quiet.
Chrissy: "So you think that's the way it went?"
Selene: "Do you think he was persecuted too?"
Yuuwaku: "Then maybe he decided to do something about it."
Yuuwaku: "But that doesn't tell us anything."
Samantha: "I have no idea, Selene..."
Yuuwaku: "The question we have is what he decided to do."
Yuuwaku: "He could have decided to destroy the world completely. Maybe that's
  his plan."
Yuuwaku: "Or maybe he's trying to change it to make it better."
Yuuwaku: "But we'd have to find out more details..."
Chrissy: "The pictures seem happy though.  Why would they do something so
  suddenly?"
Marcus: "Some people just tend to snap."
Yuuwaku: "I guess that's what we'll have to ask the lady."
Samantha: "They might have not known about his mother.  She probably hid the
  truth."
* Chrissy rubs her chin.  "And that explosion..."
Kodah: "Maybe someone wanted things to turn out this way."
Samantha: "And if they found out... fear leads people to... yeah, snap."
Selene: "They did use the family name 'Phelios' instead of Pharos..."
* Ambush 6000 displays a copy of the photo of Hera and the young Ares on one of
  the walls, as well as a slightly larger (and clearly computer-generated)
  silhouette with a question mark on it.
* Yuuwaku blinks at the silhouette.
Yuuwaku: "What's it look like?" O_o
* Chrissy squints.
* Ambush 6000 removes the image and makes a sort of confused whimper.
Chrissy: "Hey, what about Ares' dad?  How come he's not in any of these
  pictures?"
Kodah: "Maybe he died early on."

--Way in the back there is a small photo showing younger version of Ares's
  mother with a young gentleman.  She appears to be a few months pregnant in
  this particular photo.  There are other images of her also with this man,
  only she isn't pregnant in them.--
  
* Samantha glances at the man to see if she recognizes him at all.
* Chrissy moves over to inspect the new batch of pictures.  "Maybe... does this
  face ring any alarm bells?"

--The man doesn't appear familiar at all, but he doesn't appear in any
  pictures taken after Ares was born.--
  
Kodah: "Maybe he decided he wasn't cut out to be a father and left."
Chrissy: "Hope he didn't just leave her high and dry..." :p
Yuuwaku: "Maybe he died."
Yuuwaku: "But I don't see a grave."

--There is a drawer with a newspaper clipping sticking out of it near the
  stairs heading up to the top of the lighthouse.--
  
* Yuuwaku picks up the clipping.
Yuuwaku: "Hmm..."

--The clipping has the following headline, "Local man dies in tragic dock
  accident" with a picture of the man who apparently was Ares's father.--

Chrissy: "Yuuwaku, super sleuth extraordinaire... looks like that end was
  covered after all." ^^;
