ILEs are usually more driven towards developing ideas and acquiring information related to their interests than materializing or applying that information. Whereas in IEEs the influence of values can lead to a drive to apply their insights and intellectual developments to accrue some tangible benefit in the lives of others, ILEs are more often lost in the process of generating ideas with little interest in putting them to use.
