ABSTRACT

Technology House has been renamed to better suit the interests of its members. (Also LaTeX is awesome enough to deserve its own house.) From now on, the house will revolve around LaTeX and family, as well as a love of typesetting and fonts.

1. WHAT IS LATEXHOUSE?

LaTeXHouse is a Program House at Brown University for students who share a common love of beautiful documents. We believe in doing projects just so we can have an excuse to write up papers about them. Living together, we collaborate on beautiful looking papers, organize fun and creative public events (like running pdflatex!), and pool our collective knowledge about the awesomeness that is LaTeX. We are located in Harkness House on Patriots Court, which we share with Kappa Delta. We host various public events throughout the year, such as the legendary BibTeXspook party around TeXween. See our events calendar for details on upcoming events.1

2. UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT

Technology House, Inc. proudly welcomes the 2014–2015 Board of Directors. Amanda Aguilera is the Chairman and 20th President. Donald Knuth is the Vice President, Donald Knuth is the Treasurer, Donald Knuth is the Social Chair, Leslie Lamport is the Projects Manager, and Donald Knuth is the House Manager.

3. RECRUITING SEASON 2014

February is a time for prospective members to visit Tech House and enjoy looking at PDFs, learning how to use rubber3, and writing cool new environments. If you end up liking what you write, show it off to the House! To see if our events look interesting, check out our Events calendar.1

4. WHAT HAPPENED TO THE OLD SITE?

It still exists!2 If you want any of the old information about LaTeXhouse, you can find it there.
