LOW MORALE ::: Presents Radiohead Music Video - CREEP
No lie, I think this is the most impressive flash music video I’ve ever seen. I haven’t checked out other stuff by this animation group (called “Monkeehub”), but they have a LOT of Really Awesome-Looking Stuff on their website, http://www.monkeehub.com/. Check them out, by all means!
In other news, I found another awesome Flash animation from

Despite all evidence to the contrary, I am still alive, and slowly in the process of restoring order to my life. The room is clean, I know where [most] of my money disappeared to, and this paper is not due for another 3 hours… that’s plenty of time, right? …..
Big things this week:
-Japanese paper due in far less time than it will take to write
-Research like crazy for History 42 final… what the heck is my topic, anyway?
-Panic LR21 Project with Dan Byers…

It has NOTHING to do with fireworks, class, or anything, but this bunny loves you.

I’d like to do a lot more work with this, add a preloaded, create some digital paintings to overlay, that kind of thing, but for now I think it’s pretty damn cool. Here’s a link to the final project, 700 x 350 pixels, macromedia .swf: (I’ll post it on its own webpage later today, but for now it’s just the raw file)

OK, THERE we go, now we’re making progress! Check these babies out! (now ideally I need to add variation and make my own movie clips, but oh well ^_^)

So I’m sitting here, playing with actionscripted animation in Flash, and I finally got the first part of my code sorted out. I’m using a few open-source snippets as a base, but modifying the code for my own purposes and recreating the effects on my own, so it’s really interesting. I’ve posted the .swf of my demo file, I’m calling it Textual Popcorn for reasons that should be clear:

Guess what, we FINALLY got a bunch of housemembers to come clean up their junk and get the war room back in a usable state! Here are some photos (please ignore my laptop, these were taken during an all-nighter:)

MESS THE ROOM UP NOW AND YOU WILL DIE.
Too many of your housemates have spent too long making this a livable space… please, people, have some human decency and throw your trash out. There are two really easy to find trash cans, and we’re going to get more: use them, and take them out when they are full.

Turn your PC into a Mac - Engadget
I thought this was pretty cool, it’s a comprehensive how-to on making Windows XP look and behave more like Mac OSX. Fun stuff, they touch on a lot of programs I’ve been toying with myself.
On the subject of Macs and PCs, BootCamp is pretty exciting! I still wish mac hardware was cheaper, but the next major computer I get will probably be a mac for the simple reason that it will be able to run just about anything I want. (Also, check out the BootCamp home page, Apple reveals their cheeky side in the comments in the sidebar)

I just posted the fruits of the four-hour long battle of wits between me and my machine:
Mount Fuji Flash Project Background
For electronic writing II i’m working on dynamically generated art in flash, and this will be the background. At the moment it only does anything if you click on it, but eventually those flickers will be timed to fireworks that explode in the sky
