A memorial on Jaffa Street
A close-up on the memorial. Email me if you can figure out who it's for,
because I have no idea
A bomb scare on Jaffa Street. The suspicious package (which it turns out
is not a bomb) is in the first bus stop
on the right side of the street. When they sight a package, they blow
it up with a small explosive.
A bomb squad man sets up the explosive to blow up the package (which was
probably someone's groceries)
A policemen sets up the wires to trigger the explosive
The bomb squad guy goes in his car to trigger the tiny explosive that
will blow up the package

This is a big Sephardi rabbi who was once Chief Sephardi Rabbi of Israel.
He is now the head of a religious-political party named Shas.
Personally, I don't like this guy. I think he's creepy. He wears sunglasses
all the time, even at night. Oh, and every rabbi under him got arrested
for embezzlement and corruption some years back. Not a good sign.
So in Jerusalem, signs are in Hebrew, then Arabic, then English (in Tel
Aviv there is no Arabic)
This is obviously a political sticker referring to the desire to deport
the Arab population
Huh. I was walking through Talpiot and I saw this.
The Haredi Center for Tech Studies. This place has always mystified me.
What do they study here?

There's a story behind these guys. They're swindlers. They ask
for tzedakah (charity)
and offer to sell you these red strings that are supposed to protect
you from the Evil Eye.
This is superstition and the rabbis forbid you to take part in
it.
